Ms. Sheely contacted the Public Works office on 3/04/2003 to report that her cable has been going out at least 3 time a month, and at least twice this week alone. She stated that she has contacted Insight a number of times and she did not know what else to do. She would like this re-occuring problem addressed by Insight or the TCC.

Resident says her dog ran away 7 days ago. She called Animal Shelter today, spoke w/Jim Lang, was told dog had been adopted. Wants to know how it could be adopted so quickly - isn't there a quarantine period? Says Jim was rude/unprofessional, told her she didn't care about her dog, "if you snooze, you lose". Says dog did not have tag, but had blue collar. She has pictures/papers and wants her dog back. Didn't call earlier because dog has run off before & neighbors found him.
At the entrance to Winslow Sports Complex there are several large orange barriers sitting on the sides of the entry road. They were placed there during IU's graduation weekend and they continue to be there a month later. This is just a personal request but we have not seen them used for anything during the month and we live in the house right across the street...and we have several windows that we look out many times a day and they are the first thing we see. We've lived here for 20 years and have never had to see large orange objects thru our side windows and we would love to see them removed so we can enjoy the unobstructed sight of the park entrance again. :-) Thank you for your consideration...we are lucky to live across from so much green space and trees and the large orange barriers just don't fit the view :-)
I believe the city's fiber company (Gigabit Now) has a covered hole near the fire hydrant at the end of our driveway. The green cover to this hole sits probably higher than some people think and the person that mows most of the lawns in our neighborhood must have ran over it and it broke into several pieces. It appeared to be low enough for that not to happen but it must have been higher than he thought. Now there is a decent sized hole with no cover as the other cover is irreparable. If it can be replaced for safety reasons we will be sure to let the lawn guy know to watch out for it. Thank you for your attention in this matter!
Tent set up on City property. Rats in the area by creek and apartments.
