Seriously City of Bloomington ? You've put in meters and on top of 25cents an hour and parking ticket REVENUE, you are also requiring the user / city resident / visitor to pay YOUR credit card transaction fee. Really ? Please name me one downtown merchant that requires the customer to pay this fee. Ridiculous. I will be shopping / eating / recreating elsewhere. Not downtown Bloomington. Good luck to you and your soon to be very irate merchants / downtown business owners.

Not really a problem, but maybe an improvement to a situation. I remember, while visiting Rehobooth, Va. That the parking meters had an available app. that I loaded on to my I phone. I was able to pay my parking meter via a credit card I had registered with a third party through my iPhone. The program even sent me a txt message when the meter timer was running low and asked if I wished to continue billing my credit card. I think Bloomington would benefit by this next step. Thank you. I parked on 6th St near Dunn St and put money in meter. Turns out meter was not working yet. Why doesn't city government inform the public as to status of use of new meters. The entire meter process has been a circus.
