Parking meter 7615 on Kirkwood had a coin stuck in it. The light was yellow, but it was the only open spot. I thought the 25 minutes remaining would be enough. When my order took longer than expected at Nick’s, I ran back out and was forced to use a credit card or risk a ticket. I didn’t need to pay for a full hour, nor did I want to pay the service fee when I had coins to use.

Clearly can see the parking pass in the windshield. Have been given permission to park here by NAPA themselves. I work for IVY Tech security and i am supposed to park here.

Hello. I have a question regarding parking. I frequent a business across the street from FAR (Fourth and Rogers Center for the Contemporary Arts). The owners of FAR have contacted the owner of the business I frequent and have stated that her customers cannot park in front of the glass garage doors (see the attached photos) as it is private property. Instead, we should use the parking lot in back of the building where the business I frequent is housed (the old Bloomington DMV). However, there are no signs or markers to indicate that this is private property. Sometimes when an event is being held, there will be signs taped to the glass garage doors warning people not to park there. However, most of the time, there are no signs. Is parking allowed here? Can I be towed/ticketed if I park there and there is nothing to indicate that this is private property? I appreciate your clarification on this! Thanks, Sarah

There are some parking meters on Madison, between 4th and Kirkwood, on the Kirkwood Apts side, that are missing the green stick that has the # to be entered on the parking app. Many thanks in advance for fixing this.

There is a black BMW 'parked' in the 800 Block of West 3rd st with expired plates that looks abandon. It has not moved in quite some time and perhaps should be removed. Thanks.

I parked on 6th St near Dunn St and put money in meter. Turns out meter was not working yet. Why doesn't city government inform the public as to status of use of new meters. The entire meter process has been a circus.

Not really a problem, but maybe an improvement to a situation. I remember, while visiting Rehobooth, Va. That the parking meters had an available app. that I loaded on to my I phone. I was able to pay my parking meter via a credit card I had registered with a third party through my iPhone. The program even sent me a txt message when the meter timer was running low and asked if I wished to continue billing my credit card. I think Bloomington would benefit by this next step. Thank you. I'm not trying to appeal a ticket, but I do have a question. I received a parking ticket today because I did not properly use the meter which I should have. That was my fault, I admit. However, I took a quick look at the meter, and for some reason, it said "expires at 1:30 pm" or something like that. Do previous cars' allotted times continue even when the next person parks, and does the next person parking need to somehow stop the time and then start another session, or something like that? Just curious. Secondly, as I wrote in a comment that I realize was directed to the "other" and "public works" section of this site rather than parking, I would like to apologize again for a nasty, profane complaint letter that I included in the envelope I used to pay my parking ticket. I wrote the letter essentially in the heat of the moment, and did not mean anything I wrote at all. You may not have received the envelope yet, but it was poorly written, so please disregard it. I have a much higher view of the city than what the letter indicates and take full responsibility for today's parking situation.
