Broken wooden bridge with tree limbs sticking out at Bryan Park central path
Broken wooden bridge with tree limbs sticking out at Bryan Park central path
Two trees are down on the B-Line in between Adams and Moravec Streets, both closer to the latter. One is making the trail nearly impassable.
Two or three of the lights on the north side of Bee Line Trail bridge over Grimes/Patterson are out.
This plot just had a tree removed form it. CFC folks are concerned that it is dangerous and that somebody could wipe out in it fairly easy. Suggest putting cones on it until it fixed. It's just south of the southeast corner on the intersection of Kirkwood and College Avenues.
Lights out on the B-Line: 151 148 146 124 70 51
light 82 on tbe b line is out
light 83 on tge B line is iut, as well as 82.
Question on map. Greenway that goes W/E on 7th I saw as a dotted line on a map with other dotted line proposed trails. Are improvements going to be made to the existing path/greenway on 7th/morningside/etc.? Thank you.
I would really like to see emergency call buttons placed along the B line trail. I love walking the trail, but I don't feel comfortable walking alone, especially since some portions of the trail are very isolated. I know that many citizens, especially women, would use the trail more if they felt safer.
Last summer I went hiking at Leonard Springs Nature Park at least once a week (I live down the road) and I just followed the trail around in the big loop and I never had an issue. There were no need for signs because there were no forks in the path or anything like that. Today I went hiking there for the first time since last fall and I got lost for nearly an hour and ended up on a new trail that led me to someones private property where they were hunting. There are at least 4 places where the the trail forks and there are no signs telling you which way to go and where they lead. I took a right turn and the trail dead ended and I found myself in the middle of nowhere. I am an experienced hiker and I have a good sense of direction but something weird is going on with this trail. There are giant bulldozed areas with no description that lead nowhere. This is very unsafe. And why on earth would one of these trails lead to someones property where they have hunting equipment set up? Those rednecks are hunting back there where people are hiking. Also there is broken glass and polar pops everywhere. I know the Indiana crowd isn't super classy to begin with, but I think we all pay enough taxes to permit someone cleaning up that trail every now and then. My dog stepped on a broken beer bottle. The whole situation is just disgusting.
