Employees in a security vehicle patrolling the Bline trail were smoking in the vehicle while driving through Switchyard Park. This seems like a lapse in oversight and resulted in negatively impacting the experience visiting the park.
Hi, I don’t know if the parks department or city cares much about it but there are large patches of Japanese knotweed growing along the trail. It's a tricky plant to get rid of and requires strategic doses of herbicide at specific stages in it's life cycle and for multiple years. Y'all might already be aware and I've chatted with a lady working on other invasives along the trail. I live in Broadview 2nd and have been keeping my eyes out for it to keep it out of the neighborhood. I just wanted to bring it to someone's attention. The subreddit for invasive species seems to have the most up to date methods of attack and discussion I've found. Cutting it down only makes it angry and dig in/spread more. Please trim the branches that overhang the short bike path that runs between South Rogers Street and South Madison Street on what would have been West Ralston Street (If it were a street and not a bike path). Thank you.

The Polly Grimshaw Trail is in dire need of bush and tree trimming. The east bound "lane" is overgrown and in many places only two or three feet of the west bound "lane" is usable so that two bicycles would not be able to pass at the same time without one of them leaving the trail. A particular hazard is just east of the Pete Ellis crossing where a recently broken branch of a locust tree (the kind with thorns) is covering most of the trail. A thorn could easily puncture a bicycle tire. I realize that Parks and Recreation has always denied having jurisdiction over this trail. But this was the only link I found to report this. Please pass this request on to which ever department would be able to handle it. Thanks so much!
Many street lights along the Polly Grimshaw trail are no working. The westernmost 2, the one west of the intersection with PEte Ellis, and all of them east of Pete Ellis. Some have dark lenses, and some are broken. Thank you for keeping our trail nice.
A couple of the street lights on the Polly Grimshaw east of SR 46 Trail and directly behind East Bay apartments are burned out.
A tree was blown over. It is currently leaning over the trail, and it seems as though it could fall onto the trail at any time. It's just north of where the small pedestrian bridge is located.
Path along IN46 is partially blocked with overgrowth. I can report to INDOT if this is not maintain by CoB.
