There is a birch tree vandalized with racist hate. Vertically, in large letters, is the N word and above it is carved the initials of the KKK. I hope something can be done to erase this message of hate from this beautiful bike trail. To find the vandalized tree, start at the parking lot with the yellow gate and take a left, through the grassy field with the pile of logs to the right. Continue the trail until you get to what I call the staircase of roots. At first, the birch tree in question will be to the right, but to see the hateful message, you'll have to turn around so it is to your left.
When I first passed her I thought she might be dead but by the time I turned around she rolled over. welcome to the Parks kids come out and play thank you Hamilton for allowing this to happen in the park that’s not even completed. And this single picture doesn’t even begin to show you the whole picture of what’s going on in the park
A couple of dangerous trees/branches suspended above or about to fall onto latimer woods trail. Could be very dangerous.
Winslow Woods Park on a spur trail, an individual has created a Mountain biking obstacle through plant life and dug up creek bed to create a jump. I’m pretty sure that this park does not allow bicycles on trails.
Old 37 & n walnut. The ped xing across walnut (part of the cascades trail that connects to griffy) is still / again broken. I stayed for five minutes, pushed the beg buttons lots of times, tried both directions. Always the red hand, never the white walk. The intersection is cycling normally and promptly for cars. The crossing of old 37 appears to be operating in ped recall mode (ie, working), though its countdown timer is misconfigured. But the high-stress crossing of walnut is versnickered. I get sick when i think how many millions of dollars we've spent on this recreational facility to still have this gap in the most dangerous part.

Winslow Woods has neighbors, on west side, that are clear cutting the woods (fresh stumps) behind their(?) homes, also they are leaving large brush piles of yard waste. They are making trails and lining them with cut trees.
Is it necessary for BPD to drive down the walking path? For non-emergency patrols? Wasn't the idea of the sub-station at Switchyard Park so that BPD could walk, bike or Segway around the park? The gas usage, the damage to infrastructure, the danger of driving on a pedestrian path. For all those reasons they should not be driving through Switchyard Park unnecessarily.
Almost run over by bikes while walking in Cascades
