My neighbors have built up a huge pile of trash over the winter. This happens all the time - they will not take their trash out and it stinks up the entire neighborhood until the city gets involved and fines them or cleans up the property. The trash is in the back and front of the house.
There are still huge piles of trash in my neighbor's front and back yards. They stink and they have made no attempt to remove any of it. Please ticket them again as often as possible. Abatement was the only solution for this for the last 3 years. Please help us.
My neighbors at 1317 W 6th have not taken their trash out for months. It's in both the front and back yard and smells terrible!
It is my intention to develop my 5 vacant lots on N. Oolitic. I can't do that with 1305 W. 11th the way it is. The yard has become a junk yard. It is deplorable. Construction material. Bicycles, trash, rubbish, yard waste, scrap and detritus stacked on the front porch. Regardless of the section of town, this property absolutely destroys any kind of surrounding property value. Please force a cleanup.
Hi, I think this house is being used as a storage area for a construction business; it's listed as the address for N V Roofing and Restoration. The yard has contained trash, construction materials, and sometimes furniture for six to eight months. (I complained about trash at the curb a few months ago, and that trash was removed, but more appeared almost immediately. Right now there's trash at the curb, construction materials in the yard, and two mattresses outside.) I don't think anyone is actually living there, although people may stay the night from time to time. I'm concerned about the trash, but also about whether there is a zoning violation. This area appears to be zoned residential single-family, and it looks to me like this type of business use is not allowed. Thanks for any help you can provide. If I need to contact someone else about the apparent zoning violation, please let me know.
Hi, There's a fair amount trash at the curb at 128 S. Clark that's been there for weeks. (The front of the house actually faces Fourth St., and that's where the trash is, on Fourth). I don't think any of it has trash stickers, so I can understand why it hasn't been picked up by the city. It's an eyesore, though, so I was wondering if the city can do anything to encourage the owner or renter to deal with it. Not sure if anyone is living in the house; it appeared to be under renovation last fall, and some of the trash looks like stuff left over from the work on the house. It is my plan to develop my 5 lots on N. Oolitic. I can't do that unless I have help with enforcing certain codes. 1209 W. 11th has garbage, rubbish, old lawnmowers, and other detritus stacked on and around the house and property. I actually think the house may be abandoned and is being used as a trash dump. Regardless of the section of town, we property owners don't like our property value destroyed by places like this. Please help us by forcing a clean up. Thank you.
