Bunch of tires and junk in front yard of house on E side of smith road
vacant house, trash in front yard
At 106 N Hillsdale Dr, there has been what looks like a broken ping-pong table that was apparently thrown in the front yard a couple weeks ago. It is in a few different pieces, one of which is on a small bush that looks damaged. The front door has what I think is a small broken window at the top that has been covered with cardboard and tape.
I've lived in this neighborhood for nearly 3 years and have had an ongoing concern for the man that lives at house #2501 on 8th St. He spends a lot of time outside sorting through stacks of old newspapers and it looks like his house has tons more paper inside. It seems like a fire hazard, and he seems to need some mental help. His place is also quite a mess (photos attached).
1301 Woodhill dr has had trash bags sitting in the drive way for weeks. The house is unoccupied and a notice has been on the door for weeks and the city is doing nothing about these properties in this neighborhood that are bringing down home values. Last time we put a name on one of these reports our home was broken into so we will not be giving a name.
904 s Larkspur Ln has trash including a mattress in front of it. There are notices on the door of the vacant house but the city is doing nothing to clean up these abandoned properties.

The Herald-Times threw sample newspapers all over the Westpointe neighborhood (Larkspur and Woodhill). Many of these houses are vacant rentals and the sample newspapers are trashing up the neighborhood. Please have the Herald-Times come and pick up there samples they littered everywhere that no one asked for. We already have enough problems with trash in this neighborhood.
