Hi, I had a note from the sanitation crew that said my trash was too close too a vehicle (true) and had to be placed on the curb. I live at 419 S Highland Ave. The trash and recycling cans were on the sidewalk, as they always are, so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to put them closer to the street? Also, they are very close to a car because it's the only place they can be put other than the street or the driveway (which is shared) so I'm not sure what I should do. Also, my yard waste wasn't picked up at all, so I'm in a bit of a quandary. I think very highly of the folks picking up the trash and recycling and want to do whatever I can to make it as easy as possible. I'm just not sure how to do that. Please advise. There is a discarded television sitting on the sidewalk on S. Walnut on either the 900 or 1000 block. It's on the east side of the street, roughly across from Bloomington Powersports. It has been there for many weeks now, so I think it abandoned, and I'm concerned it will eventually break and leave glass everywhere.
these mattresses have been sitting outside of 624 S Woodlawn for almost a month, since the renter changeover. occasionally the mattresses fall over, blocking the sidewalk. this is a rental (4+/- unit) apartment building.

Residents of 712 W 6th Street have left a sofa, a mattress, and miscellaneous items street side, with sheets of paper indicating that items are "free". They have been outside for over a week, sometimes block the sidewalk, and are accumulating mold and filth. Furthermore, paper stating that the items are free are NOT attached, and essentially litter the sidewalk. The items need to be disposed of properly, and it is my inclination that leaving them for "free" is an attempt around purchasing trash stickers.

Someone has dumped an old mattress on the sidewalk/street. This is just the latest event in the severe downgrading of the neighborhood to occur since the city has allowed apartment buildings to be constructed in small residential neighborhoods. I am hoping Bloomington Sanitation can remove this trash.
Bins left out all week at 4 residences between 2nd and 3rd on Eastside. Blocking sidewalk.
