The North Washington Street bicycle lane from 12th to 10th street is significantly narrower than the 5 foot standard outlined in the City of Bloomington Bicycle Facility Design Guidelines document. In addition, vehicles parked along the west side of Washington street routinely occupy some portion of this bike lane, reducing the width even further. It seems to me that this stretch of road would be better suited for sharrow markings instead of the very narrow bike line that currently exists.

1. one-way sign on SW corner is obstructed by pole-saw someone turn right off Atwater yesterday. 2. Can walk symbol flash across Atwater (south side) regardless of if someone hits the button? It's same pedestrians as Indiana/3rd intersection, and that one always shows "walk." Feels safer if they had the same behavior! Thanks :)

We just received an email at IU saying that we should be using the sidewalk on 10th st from the bypass to range rd in our kubota and other atv's. This seems completely wrong, and at odds with encouraging biking and walking in an already troubled area. Please advise if there is an official policy on this.

The corner of Moores Pike and Claris currently has flashing Yellow lights to help pedestrians cross Moores Pike. Drivers view yellow lights as a call to speed up not Stop. I walk there frequently but cars seldom slow or stop Sometimes the cars speed up, either to beat the light or to run over me. Perhaps it would help to change the lights to red which means Stop. Or install a regular stop light. Also, at the Southeast corner of Hillside Dr and College Mall Rd. The crossing light turns on when the vehicles turn right from Sare Rd onto Hillside Dr. This is very dangerous for the pedestrian since the corner is not visible to the cars turning right. There should be a barrier between the Moose parking lot and Smith so that cars don't park in the road (causing bikes to exit their lane).
