Traffic light on Atwater and Indiana very long on the Indiana side almost two minutes. On Atwater going towards the east side the light stays green for a long time. Once the light on Indiana changes only about 3 cars can go before it turns red again.
The sensors for the light for traffic southbound on High St. give that direction the green light (straight and turn) even when there are no cars there. The northbound lane can sit for a while waiting for the green for a while. I haven't timed it, but it feels like a full left turn cycle. This is not only inefficient, but frustrating. When you live in the area and have to deal with this all the time, it can really be annoying.
Witnessed lights (on third st after wynndale dr lights heading towards the two strip malls) do the following: the 2nd lane light turned yellow while the 1st land light was red and green at the same time
The traffic lights along the N. Walnut corridor through downtown have become unsynced. This is causing severe disruptions to traffic flow during high volume periods including morning and afternoon. Coupled with the recently installed no turn on red signs at the cross streets, I have noted an increase in cars driving through red lights because they are caught up in hitting every red light through downtown. Please snyc the lights again.
College mall/ East Moore's intersection. The eastbound light on e Moore's stays red through several cycles sometimes. Both turn lanes go and the westbound lane goes but eastbound doesn't.
Walk/ don’t walk signs on NE and NW corners of 3rd and Rogers are stuck on Don’t walk. Thanks.
The pedestrian lights are permanently red in all four directions. The lights turn green only for the cars. It is difficult enough getting through this intersection, without the drivers assuming that if your light is red you are never permitted to cross.
I was at this intersection for a long time on the evening of Dec 26 and I think the light was not ever cycling. People were giving up and driving through the red light because it never turned green.
For some time now, light at Hillside and Henderson has been activating left turn arrow unnecessarily. Arrow from Hillside EB to turn onto Henderson NB activates whether or not a vehicle is there. This delays Hillside WB traffic and at times causes a bit of a backup in front of the school and bus stop.
