Sidewalks on Maxwell end just before my house and I would like to request that they be extended. I have small children and we live right at Miller and Maxwell, which is an active intersection with a lot of folks turning from Miller towards my house. My kids enjoy riding their bikes, but we don't ride nearly as often because I worry about them going out into the street. I would like to request that sidewalks be extended down at least to cover my house.

I would love to see a proper crosswalk and sidewalks added at all sides of the Rogers and Rockport intersection. I would also like to request a completed sidewalk added to the east side of Rogers between Rockport and the Switchyard Park entrance. Families from Rockport Hills and the surrounding neighborhoods often walk over to Switchyard Park and I personally have had and witnessed numerous close calls attempting to cross Rogers to enter Switchyard Park on foot. It would be great to have some sort of crosswalk added at the Switchyard entrance to aid those on foot trying to cross Rogers and enter the park. During larger events when the park parking lot fills up, there is overflow parking in the field in front of Catalent. Then a huge flow of people are forced to wait for traffic in order to essentially jaywalk into the park. It seems to me that some infrastructure improvements are needed for this area of Rogers St. to facilitate the main entrance to one of the largest parks in the city. Finally, I think it would be great to have some sort of high retaining wall built around the massive eye-sore electrical transfer station directly across from the park entrance (similar to the one built right next to the Upland Woodshop). We need sidewalks on East 5th street in Green Acres. Students and other folks are always walking on the street. This is dangerous.

There is a need for sidewalk on the east side of S Walnut street between E Winslow Rd and E Ridgeview Dr. It's a very dangerous stretch where motorists tend to speed and includes a blind hill. There are pedestrians walking along the shoulder of this road constantly. Thank you for your time.

The north side of 13th Street between Indiana and Fess has an old limestone masonry sidewalk, maybe from the 1950s (?) It is interesting for historic reasons - it looks like it matches the sidewalks that flank Lincoln between 10th and Cottage Grove - but parts of it have degraded to a point that it is now a bit awkward to walk on it, especially at night. (It is definitely not ADA-complaint.) Is there an office in town dedicated to historic preservation that could commission a team of masons to redo this sidewalk? There is a concrete sidewalk just east of this block that appears to match the pattern, but it is poured concrete with pattern-pressed and actually looks a little comical, as if it is trying to be something that it is not. Also, a side note: there is no sidewalk on the south side of 13th Street in this block. If there were one there (especially ADA-compliant), people could more safely walk from campus to "The Standard" along that street.

Just wanted to pass along my thanks for sidewalk repair in Blueridge. The company doing the work, Groomers, has done top notch and quality work on sidewalk repair. I’ve seen sidewalk repair that was sub par, but the work Groomers is doing is the best quality I’ve seen. I don’t know anyone who works for them but wanted to let you know these guys are doing a good job. Thanks
