I don't know if you can see this issue or not in the photo but there is a crosswalk sign that has been obviously hit by a vehicle and is blocking the crosswalk on Sare Road right across from the Hyde Park Village subdivision. The sign is bent over and is literally blocking the crosswalk and is a hazard to pedestrians and anyone with a vision issue. A trail is being installed on Sare Road so I'm not sure if the construction crews hit the sign or if a car did but it's unsafe and could easily lead to a lawsuit. Thanks, Sarah Jacobi
This intersection is a fatality waiting to happen. I just watched an inattentive driver blow straight through the stop sign coming south on Covenanter. If the driver already stopped on Cadillac hadn’t been paying attention when they had the right of way, they would have been t boned by an suv traveling over 35mph. The intersection is too large and really should be a roundabout
People are blowing through this 4 way stop from all directions! This has always been an issue, but even more so from where the road has been closed for so long. There are many residents and pedestrians that cross here which makes it a very unsafe situation. Rumble strips or a temporary flashing stop sign might remind people that they need to stop here!
I think the new construction on Sare Road is making the road very narrow, maybe even narrower than the walking path being put in. Does the new, narrowed road meet the width requirements of the Master Thoroughfare Plan? It seems like it is not wide enough, and should be checked. Thank you.
There are no street signs indicating what street a person is getting on while exiting the traffic circle.
Pedestrian crossing sign is broken at the top of the sign.
Heading south on Sare, the stop sign at Sare and Canada is not visible. The trees (circled in red in the attached picture) need to be trimmed back. I would also propose a Stop Ahead sign be attached to the median sign already in place(highlighted in yellow in the attached picture) since the road curves slightly there, giving drivers less time to react to the upcoming stop sign.
Walk signal burned out for pedestrians crossing S. College Ave. from east to west at W. Kirkwood Ave.
In the southbound lane of South Woodlawn (two-way street) at its intersection with East 3rd, you have a traffic signal light hanging in the lane as if it were a a northbound lane. This often confuses drivers into thinking this is a one-way northbound turn lane. Please remove the extra signal light or move it into its proper lane. Thank you.
