Had an arborist out on another street tree (Japanese Cherry) that needs pruned badly and some dead removed, but is otherwise healthy. While there he looked at a Red Sunset Maple that I thought had a lot of dead in it, just in the last year. His appraisal was that it needed removed and since a street tree he suggested I give the city a call.

Dead tree is a safety issue. Dead, brittle limbs could fall and injure someone. Landlord needs to have taken down.

There are two trees on Curry at the westbound corner of 46 and Curry that are protruding into the street. There is another (third) tree at Curry and North Lintel blocking the right-side view to turn from Lintel onto Curry which is a highly trafficked street.

Subject: Urgent: Request for Removal of Dead Trees on Public Land
Dear Madam/Sir,
I am writing to bring to your attention a concerning issue regarding our property at 3020 S Stratford Dr. The southern and eastern perimeters are populated with numerous dead trees, on public land. We have reported this matter to the Urban Forester in August, and they know about the issue, we are on their list. We understand that they have immense workload, however, the urgency of our situation has increased as with each passing windy day, large branches have begun falling into our yard, posing a risk to both property and safety. We fear that the upcoming sub-freezing temperatures and spring tornado season will exacerbate the situation. Therefore, we kindly request that you prioritize the removal of the hazardous trees at your earliest convenience. (We have also started felling hazardous trees within our land.)
Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your understanding and assistance.
Kind regards,
Gergo Szanda (765-508-9679, szgergo82@gmail.com)

Daniel Street from Forrester to the west, to Olcott on the east, has numerous trees that are mature with low hanging branches. Not only are the trees dropping limbs routinely that find their way to the sewer drains and are causing clogs and water to build up on the road, but they are a hazard as personal vehicles and commercial vehicles travel this section of road daily and hit them and/or vehicles are constantly swerving to miss them and narrowly miss hitting approaching vehicles, and there have been near misses with people on bikes, walkers, kids, etc. The city needs to take the time to send out crews to work this entire road and take down all the low limbs on these trees so that there are none coming in contact with vehicles, and really trim them back so not hanging over the road. Thank you!

A tree planted by the city a few years ago was damaged by the storm today, June 25 2023. A large branch has fallen, blocking the sidewalk. It is too large for us to move. The city will have to remove it and probably plant a new tree.

Over the last 2 weeks, two large trees have fallen where I live. One fell into our yard, the other fell across the roadway at 2903 N. Browncliff Ln. in front of our house. It took us 3 hours to clear away the tree on the street.
There is yet another tree that looks to be in a dangerous situation. A big part of it is hanging over the street. Can we get some help from you to remove this tree?
