I moved a large dead opossum off of the street and put it in the tree plot just next to the sidewalk at 1220 E First st. (south side of the street). The opposum had been hit and had been dead for a while I think but I didn't want it to continue to be smushed and to cause traffic to go around it. I am hoping it can be picked up by animal control. I don't live there - I was coming home from downtown when I saw it.

I am concerned about the mowing/bush-hogging on the side of I-69 off of Tapp road and other similar places on the side of highways. It is destruction of wildlife habitat and there is no point to mowing it since nobody ever touches that area. I apologize if I am reaching out to the wrong department. Have a good day!
