Code violation- unshielded light on south side of the house, toward the east, causing glare beyond the property line, nuisance to neighboring property. It has been left on continuously for days.
Light on south side of house facing neighboring property is completely unshielded, with lighting element completely visible causing glare and light trespass on neighboring property. It is left on all night, and illuminates neighboring property even through room darkening curtains. This is in violation of city code: (5) Glare. All lighting fixtures shall be installed so as not to cause glare at or beyond the property line and shall not be aimed toward traffic. (A) Shielding. i. All lighting fixtures, except motion detector-activated lighting, shall be fully shielded so that the lighting element is not visible to an observer at any property line, except as stated otherwise in this Section 20.04.090 (Outdoor Lighting). ii. Unless otherwise specified, all lighting fixtures shall be full cutoff type as installed. iii. A lighting fixture may beam light upward only if all upward light is reflected back down by a canopy, roof, or other such structure. Please ticket and enforce. Also full trash cans are left out all week.

The nuisance light on the south side is so bright it is this visible in bright daylight on a sunny day, over a meter in from the property line. At night it exceeds the criteria for light trespass in the municipal code: ii. Light Trespass. Pair of floodlights on second floor of back (north) side of house are shining directly at neighbor's house across alley and bathing it in bright, harsh light all night long.
Ever since W. 3rd street was paved, the light at Cory Lane and W. 3rd stays green way too long for the one or two cars that need to turn left onto W. 3rd or go straight into Culvers. Let the pedestrians push the crosswalk button if they need 45 seconds to cross the road. But don't make us all suffer if there are no pedestrians and one car needs to turn. Shorten the light please.
