Wish list:
We would love a fence around the baseball diamond! Currently balls often get lost in the tall grass/trees and roll down the hill. If a fence is not possible, could a perimeter mound be built so that when balls near the end of the field they slow down and don't go further.
On the tennis court, a solo practice bounce wall would also be awesome so that kids/adults could play alone if a partner is not available.
Lastly, could a pet dish attachment be added on the water fountain.

Please consider placing a restroom or port-o-let at Sherwood Oaks Park. It is a beautiful park but people use the woods as a restroom constantly.

There are three (3) dead trees that we believe are located on the Building & Trades Park property that we would like to see removed because of their potential danger to our building. Please let us know how this is assessed. Thank you

Winslow Woods Park

This is a follow up on Case #192474 that Tim Street closed last week regarding unhoused individuals using the park shelter at Winslow Woods near the Community Gardens and Community Orchard as a camp.
I appreciate that the BPD is aware, but these unhoused individuals continue to live in the shelter. We go to our garden plot at sunrise and they are there, sleeping, so they obviously sleep there overnight.
They are there all day, taking over a third of the shelter. They continue to burn smoky, green wood in the grill. There things are spread all over. I’m not aware they harass anyone but it’s uncomfortable.
Are you saying it’s okay that they live there? That anyone can basically take over a park building for private use on an ongoing basis? Because that is what they have done.
It appears the City has simply ceded the park to these guys. This needs to be addressed in a better way. I feel that others should be free to use the shelter and surrounding area without these men making it feel unsafe.

I'm reporting this on behalf of a gentleman on the EH listserv, who reports a bulb out in one of the "charming old streetlamps" on Hawthorne at 2nd. Not quite sure which one it is, and you may get other reports on this as he sent it out to the entire listserv.

There are multiple potholes on Amp Way, near Target and Current at Latimer Square. The largest is past the entrance that Target shares with Chik-fil-a. Further down the road there are two, one pretty deep, right at the corner crosswalk. This concerns me due to the blind corner and crosswalk. Some drivers come around that corner in the middle of the road, and it makes it difficult to avoid hitting the pothole.
This road is, at times very busy and congested, with bus, car, scooter, bicycle, and foot traffic. The curbside parking for the apartments has cars facing two different directions, which gets chaotic. The turn lane in front of Target is very tight if you're turning right, with poor visibility due to the hedges, and oncoming traffic often speeding. it wouldn't be a bad place for a few speed bumps, especially with the IU Students returning soon.
