I have noticed a blooming mimosa tree below the RR tracks W of the 45/46 Bypass that would be nice to have basal bark treated if it is in the City’s ROW.

There are three (3) dead trees that we believe are located on the Building & Trades Park property that we would like to see removed because of their potential danger to our building. Please let us know how this is assessed. Thank you
Walking the trails and street line next to Latimer Woods and at the bus stop of E Buick Cadillac Blvd and S Clarizz Blvd I realized that there has been more trash filling in this area. There are now three shopping carts and some homeless encampments. The area has a foul smell. I walk this area almost every morning and this part of the woods has gotten worse with trash and encampments.
The new lights that shine onto the pickleball courts at RCA Park are tilted in such a way that they shine into the backyards of several houses, a long distance into the surrounding forest, and also create a good amount of light pollution due to their angle. Would it be possible to have the lights tilted down and to focus them more directly on the pickleball courts to reduce the light flowing into the surrounding area?
My neighbor at address 2131 S Bent Tree Drive just reported two dead trees on City property that are leaning towards both of our houses. Within the past 10 mins, another dead tree just split in half and half of it fell against other trees leaning towards our homes. Please please would the City come quickly and assess/remove these trees before they fall on our homes. Please contact me at your earliest convenience. Lark Hatfield 812-320-1855
The 2 hybrid elm trees in front of our house are dying. I think there are the same tree across the street that are dead. Can you please evaluate the possibility of removing them? Thank you.
This is a follow up on Case #192474 that Tim Street closed last week regarding unhoused individuals using the park shelter at Winslow Woods near the Community Gardens and Community Orchard as a camp. I appreciate that the BPD is aware, but these unhoused individuals continue to live in the shelter. We go to our garden plot at sunrise and they are there, sleeping, so they obviously sleep there overnight. They are there all day, taking over a third of the shelter. They continue to burn smoky, green wood in the grill. There things are spread all over. I’m not aware they harass anyone but it’s uncomfortable. Are you saying it’s okay that they live there? That anyone can basically take over a park building for private use on an ongoing basis? Because that is what they have done. It appears the City has simply ceded the park to these guys. This needs to be addressed in a better way. I feel that others should be free to use the shelter and surrounding area without these men making it feel unsafe.
Can you let your staff know there grass on baseball field
I have two dead trees, that has not bloomed in Spring or Summer, close proximity to my house- causing potential hazard. Wanted to write this email as an official notification for City to take action, as it is on city property, and if any damage is caused in the next storm with these trees, I have reported this to you on July 27, 2024. Thank you, Gamze
