I am not sure what is preventing it from emptying fully. When our recycling was picked up on Thursday, apparently half the material in the can was stuck and did not fall into the truck, maybe because a flattened cardboard box was a little bit wedged against the sides of the bin. So when we got home after the pickup, we found the bin still half-full. Maybe it is possible for the sanitation workers to double-check to make sure bins are properly emptied before returning them to the curb.
I have always had positive experiences with all members of the Sanitation Department, but this past year, in particular, I have had extremely positives experiences. Not only have the team members been thorough, timely, and respectful, but everyone has been SO friendly! The team doesn't hold back on the smiles, waves, and well-wishes. I cannot say enough positive about the Sanitation team (yard waste, recycling, trash) that comes through the Winslow Farms/Sweetbriar neighborhood. Yard waste was not picked-up at 2417 E. Canada drive this morning.
Recycling that was not properly dumped into the truck blew down the street and now my yard is littered.
My address is 416.5 North Lincoln Street and because the house is in the middle of the block I have been taking my trash cans to the 9th street driveway for the past year for pickup. My regular pickup day is Monday but because of the holiday it should have happened yesterday and it did not. My cans are still out on the street because I have been wondering if there is a delay due to the holiday. I do not want to be charged extra for a pickup specifically related to my house but I don't want this trash sitting in the sun for the next week and I don't understand why it was not collected yesterday.
My recycling didn't get picked up today. It was on the curb last night.
Address: 313 E 12th St. I placed my recycling at the curb Sunday night. It hasn't yet been picked up. It's usually picked up around 6-7 AM. According to the magnet we got in the mail, it was supposed to be picked up today. Please pick it up when you can.
