Not a big problem really and also I don't know which option to use for walking/biking trails so I am using the sidewalk one: a kroger shopping cart is sitting on the pedestrian/bike trail (Polly Grimshaw trail) just east of the bypass and way west of Pete Ellis Drive and parallel to the railroad track. See photo attached.
This house had a tree blow over in a storm last week. The tree that blew over is blocking the public city sidewalk forcing me to walk in the street. Regardless of who does or does not own this property, this needs to be addressed as it is not only unsafe, but it also makes our neighborhood look bad.
Large branch on sidewalk/path
This is a continuing problem at 601 S. Woodlawn (the address above is as close as I could get on your map). Two weeks ago two large dead trees were causing a hazard, dropping limbs. Trees are covered with vines but have been dead for a long time. They continue to drop dead limbs. There is also a bad patch of poison ivy near the sidewalk, creating yet another hazard.
The sidewalk in front of our house at 2205 E Arden Dr has a several foot long section that's cracked and sunken fairly significantly on one side. It may pose a hazard to someone not paying attention while walking.
Request information, direction: Metal plate sidewalk drain covers at 205/211 N Washington are rusted, needs replaced: Is this a City action? Please advise
The sidewalk along 13th (north side of the road) as you head west from Indiana Avenue has a lot of loose gravel on it. Looks like runoff from the power substation located right there.
There is a 2' diameter, 6" deep pothole in the entrance to the Aldi parking lot. The pothole is in the right-of-way, just to the street side of the sidewalk area. The pothole has been present since at at least late Spring. The pothole is large enough to cause significant vehicle damage. It should be repaired before more vehicles are damaged.
I was taking my wife to work at the hospital Monday morning. We pulled on to Rogers Street from Rockport at approximately 0656. One large, orange Young Trucking truck had already passed us on Rogers. We were approximately 50 yards south of the electric substation, driving north when something flew off the next orange Young Trucking dump truck as it was moving south on Rogers. We were surprised by the fist-sized impact and then swung around to pull into the Young Trucking , IMI facility off of Rogers (1602 S Roger St). We pulled right next to Young Trucking truck #9. This truck turned left, north on Rogers and then west on Patterson. I called the Young Trucking Company (812-332-0403) at 0659. The gentleman asked me which truck, I couldn’t tell that since it was moving in the opposite direction, but I did know what the number of the truck immediately behind it was #9. Assuming they keep track of which trucks get loaded with what, they know which truck was loaded immediately before #9. Young Trucking's position is that it must have been something in the roadway. Could someone please clean up any large, broken rocks and concrete on the street or sidewalk in front of the electrical substation, and entrance to 1602 S Roger Street?
