I found a street sign, together with the large metal pole, in my front yard today. Not sure how it got there ... but it appears to be a Bloomington street sign. Can you come collect it? 415 E. 1st Street
The alley that runs between 800 North Grant Street and 415 East 11th Street (connecting East 11th and East 12th streets) is full of potholes and bumps, especially as it gets closer to 11th St. Many of us who live in these buildings have to drive through this alley every day in order to access the parking for our buildings. I know that the condition of this alley has been damaging to the suspension of my car, and I am sure I am not alone in this. I'm sure I speak for many when I say that we would greatly appreciate it if this alleyway were to be re-paved, or at least have some of the deeper potholes and bumps filled in and smoothed out. We aren't sure who is responsible for clearing curry court. We understand everyone is very busy but it is becoming a hazard over here and we do have a special needs child that does have therapy to attend to so we need a way out. Thank you and God Bless
Pot Holes
Several potholes in the alley between 404 and 414 S. Fess Ave.Please fill them if possible. Thanks.
Malcolm Abrams and I own the bungalow housing the Bloom Magazine office at 414 W 6th Street. The alley to our west (when facing the building) sees a surprising amount of traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian due in part to the location of the County probation department's testing office just north of us along the alley. The alley surface is in poor condition with ruts and uneven patches. The utilities department is in the process of repairing and resurfacing a portion of our lot and alley due to water line damage from AEG fiber installation. I've been told that the city will pave some well-used alleys when in disrepair. I'm wondering whether this alley would qualify particularly given that the paving equipment will be onsite already. There is a pothole at east side of the intersection of Dodds St and Rogers.
The pavement which used to be a through street years ago and is now a city-maintained alley needs to have its potholes filled. The parking lot behind Dr. Linda Figen's office at 413 Howe is owned by Dr. Figen and that lot is adjacent to the southern extent of the alley. It is the alley portion which is city-maintained which needs the attention. Area residents have confirmed with the city that this alley is city maintained when repairs are needed. Several potholes are deep and pose a hazard to vehicles using the alley to access Dr. Figen's business or the parking area for her neighbor to the east.
