Is there a way that you could lessen the snow mound heights at Bloomington Ferry Road and Lindstrom? It's almost impossible to see around them unless you pull out into the intersection. Someone has already gotten broadsided there--you can see the skid marks and the broken glass. Thank you
Two yellow traffic signs on Covenanter between Nota and Pickwick, across from 2215 are half 'eaten' by a huge hedge. Maybe the hedge can be trimmed. Before long the hedge will also 'eat' half the sidewalk.
a “road work ahead” sign has been on our property for quite awhile and it blocks our view when leaving our driveway to turn onto the street. It is also in the space that we snowplow our snow. We would like it removed as soon as possible. We live at 8735 Penn Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55431 Thank you.
Hello, My name is Andrew Goodale and I am the manager of the Verizon store on West Third Street in Bloomington. I am writing in regards to the road maintenance and related traffic issues that exist around our store. Maintenance on the Third Street overpass is severely affecting our business and store traffic to the negative. Because Third Street has been reduced to a single eastbound lane in front of our store, customers are not able to access our place of business. Our entrance is consistently blocked off with a line of traffic, and even during the rare times when it is clear, people do not think they can turn into our parking lot because of all the street pylons blocking off our entrance. Further, this same issue also causes traffic to back up on Liberty road which often simultaneously blocks off our rear entrance. This traffic double-whammy is killing our business and noticeably affecting the paychecks of your Bloomington residents that work here. Because there is a Bus Stop right in front of our store, this lane merging is also creating a safety hazard for bystanders and pedestrians in the area, including my employees. Just the other day we witnessed a City Bus hit one of your sawhorse barricades and it got caught underneath the bus. We watched the driver get out, unsuccessfully try to remove the sign, and continue driving with it caught under the bus, dragging it along as they drove on the sidewalk and hopped the curb turning from Third onto Liberty. I would like to be informed what will be done by Bloomington in order to stop stunting our business and creating a safety hazard outside of our store due to construction related traffic signs and patterns. I also need to know when this construction project will be complete, and what is being done to make sure that deadline is met or exceeded. Walk light does not turn on to cross S Henderson St. That’s going west on E Winslow Rd using the sidewalk on its south side.

The intersection of 2nd and Landmark is heavily trafficked and is difficult to cross as a pedestrian. I would love to see a crosswalk added here provide continuity of the sidewalk on the north side of the street.
I contacted IU but they said this light belongs to the city. The light to let pedestrians cross at 10th and Fee Lane (going from Kelley School to the Arboretum) is not working. I stood out there in the rain for 5 minutes today, pressing the button several times, but it did not turn to the pedestrian light when it was supposed to. Instead, cars kept going so I walked all the way up the sidewalk to the library where there is a "yield" pedestrian crosswalk; not that anyone does. This is a busy cross intersection for pedestrians, especially with orientation going on.
If starting at Green Valley Drive and heading south (south west) on Normandale Lake Blvd, it is very difficult to see at the intersection of Normandale Lake Blvd and American Blvd W. (especially if turning left/east or going straight). This intersection has always been hard to see around due to the curve of the street (and was made worse when snow piled up), but now there is a new chain link fence and trailer for construction making it very hard to see cars coming. This has turned into a dangerous intersection with cars moving fast on American Blvd (especially those coming from the East). Even changing this to a 4-way stop during construction would help, but it really needs a better fix long-term. Thanks.
