Large areas of potholes, some very deep, on Highland Avenue. The worst area is just north of Winslow Road, where the Winslow Trail merges with the sidewalk on Highland. Often filled with water so it is difficult to tell how deep they are when driving. Also, large areas of potholes are present on both sides of Rogers Road, toward the top of the hill at the entrance to The Stands neighborhood (up the east hill from the Winslow/High/Rogers Roundabout). Please forward this praise to the appropriate dept: If we haven't thanked the appropriate department already, on behalf of Bloomington Transit I want to give an enormous thanks to all the staff responsible for clearing the roads so that BT's fixed route and BTaccess (disabled transport) could successfully maintain operations last week during the awful cold and snow. 703 S Park, 705 S Park, 717 S Park, 723 S Park, and 600 S Ballantine are regularly not removing their snow/ice. It would be a great service if you could please watch this and/or provide a warning (or if warnings have not been heeded, then the appropriate city fine). The 700 block of S Park is not easy to walk down as a result of several of them clustering together and 600 S Ballantine, most winters, generally does not remove their sidewalk snow/ice making that corner a dangerous one to walk on. I'm Trying To Find Out What The City Requirements Are For Roads To Be Plowed. My HOA, For Brentwood, Has Not Been Cleaning Our Roads Or Sidewalks Saying The Requirement For Snow Removal Is 2" In One Snow. At This Time, Our Roads And Sidewalks Have Up To 4" Of Snow From The Last Few Snow Storms. I Know Bloomington Has Rules Regarding This, But I Don't Know Where To Find Them. Thanks.

Main streets in Bloomington and Normal were plowed and very passable yesterday. However, Chestnut, Allin and Mason streets did not fare the same. I left the facility at 6:00 pm last night and at that time the streets still appeared as if not plowed. In order to get from the lot to the building, staff and patients have to Cross Chestnut. This morning when I came in at 7:30 am, the road conditions were not much better. Although the road did appear to be plowed, we had little mountains to cross at driveway and sidewalk intersections. Since we are a 24 hour facility and have a pretty decent volume of patients (from pediatrics to geriatrics as well as some mobility assistance devices) and staff using this facility, we were wondering if there is a conversation to be had with the city.

Yes, this is a sidewalk. It was beautifully shoveled on Thursday, but the snow plow came by and plowed it under again. Don't give 704 and 7014 S Eastside Drive a ticket, because we have done our duty and our sidewalks were clean.
