Animal Control & Neglected Pets

Case Date:
8/24/2024

On Wednesday, August 21st, I was at Ferguson dog park. A dog brushed against me and I reached to pet the dog and it bit me on my RT hand. The gentlemen the dog belonged to said nothing and did nothing and promptly left. I did not get any information from him. I was seen at the Bton ER where I got 8 stiches for 2 different bites, rabies prevention (due to not knowing the dog's vaccine status), Dtap and oral antibiotic. None of the other dog owners that were there helped to get this gentlemen's into. I want people to be aware. FYI, he was an elderly man, I would guess 70s and walked with a cane. His dog was medium built, mutt and medium size and black. Someone at the park told me, after the gentleman had left, that he had said, "I try to warn people," and mentioned that they had seen him there before. If anyone has any info please let me know. Other

905 S Eastside DR

Case Date:
8/24/2024

For the past three weeks there have been 3 discarded sofas sitting at the curb in front of 905 S Eastside Dr., and nothing seems to be happening! - I have left a voice mail for the (former?) ReMax caretaker, Mike Hensinger, asking for an update, but didn't hear back. - During this time it has rained 4 times... so it's safe to assume that they are unusable. - Since this is right across the street from my property where I have lived over 40 years, it's getting a bit depressing to look out of the window! (- since it is also the first year - in all that time! - that a row of cars from the Maxwell Terrace Apts are now parking daily along my side of the street - though that doesn't bother me).

Sidewalk & Curb Complaints

3rd & Johnson

Case Date:
8/24/2024

Sidewalk piece has began to rise up and protruding out of the ground 2 to 3 inches. With there being no bike lane I’m riding my transportation apparatus on the sidewalk. I wanted to bring this to your attention to see if it could get on the west of being fixed. Thank you so much for your time and consideration

Line of Sight

S Williamsburg Dr

Case Date:
8/24/2024

The bushes on the left behind Arby's and bordering Best Buy are overgrown. This affects line of sight from anyone turning left from CVS area going toward Aldis. They definitely need to be trimmed but not sure if it's a city issue for Best Buy issue.

Traffic Related Complaints

117 S Heritage RD

Case Date:
8/24/2024

117 S. Heritage Rd. This picture shows how the traffic jammed at the conner where the vehicles parked on the street. I am happy to meet the Mayor this morning at Farmers Market and showed her all the pictures I sent to you. Yesterday friends gathered discuss this hazardous situation at my driveway, we saw some garden workers carrying their tools walking from Morningside toward 3rd street to work. Why are you doing this? We don’t want park our pickup truck and trailer at Heritage to block the traffic. What a consideration! Even garden workers have the sense of responsibility. The city officers didn’t prepared ahead of time to prevent the dangerous situation, ignored the fact there ought to be heavy traffic on Heritage Rd. Even all the companies saying there’s no Detour sign, City didn’t direct drivers to use Heritage Rd. This is intentionally created a hazardous situation for all the residents in the city. The Mayor promised to look into the case. But on the safe side I am going to contact my lawyer, in case God blinks his eyes, some tthing terrible happens.
