An adult deer has died on my neighbor's property (this neighbor is currently away and is unaware of the situation). The deer obviously died a few days ago and now the smell is really overwhelming - you can smell it a block away! Can someone come out to collect the carcass ASAP please? It's in the back yard of 421 E 1st ST. (We're at 415 E. 1st ST).

Website & Web Services Feedback

Case Date:
7/30/2018

Good afternoon, My name is Jonathan Adkins and I recently visited your website for the first time. I want to thank you for all the work you have done and the resources you have provided for helping the homeless. Your site freely shares life-saving resources that provides shelter and encourages recovery. One of the many obstacles that homeless people face is substance abuse. It is often the underlaying issue to homelessness that must be addressed first. Just like you, I want to help people struggling with addiction and finding consistent shelter. This passion led me to joining the community outreach team for the substance abuse site, AddictionCenter.com. We publish comprehensive, reliable information about the various aspects of substance dependency and how it effects the homeless. In the spirit of helping members of our community struggling with homelessness, will you be able to assist us by adding our new resource: https://www.addictioncenter.com/addiction/homelessness/ to your excellent list of websites at https://bloomington.in.gov/homeless-resources. Your online visitors will find tremendous value in the detailed information from this resource. It would be an honor to be included on your wonderful site! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out! Looking forward to hearing from you soon! Best wishes,

Trails

Case Date:
7/31/2018

Hello. I am a regular user of the Bloomington Rail Trail. I love the trail, however, recently the trail was altered in a way that is dangerous and less than ideal for running, walking, and biking. The original surface was recently disturbed with new material which was applied unevenly and makes it hazardous or impossible to run and bike on. I have seen several minor accidents and suspect more are occurring. I know several in the fitness community that are unhappy with the recent changes to the trail. I would appreciate any info on why this change was made and if there are any plans to improve the situation. Thank you! Craig

Water Utility Problems

Case Date:
7/31/2018

my address 515 1/2 W Howe st. Bloomington 47403. I have recently noticed decreased water pressure at least half or more at all hours of the day. I have no leaks in my home and am unsure which meter is mine but it does not appear to be spinning. I am unsure of who to contact the city or my landlord. It appears to be a leak before the meter as far as I can tell. Email is best contact thanks, - Nick Westover.

Traffic Suggestions

Case Date:
7/31/2018

Good afternoon. I live at 415 W. Graham Drive on the south side of Bloomington. I am writing in hopes of having a two- way stop become a four-way stop at the cross roads of Graham and Madison streets (and possible speed bumps put in). I have noticed (a lot) of drivers who turn on to Graham accelerate to a high speed because the west/ east of Graham does not have to stop at the intersection where Madison crosses (north to south). I cannot tell you how many times I have heard breaks squeal because the driver at the stop sign does not realize that cross traffic does not stop. Graham has a very high volume of foot traffic whether it be pedestrians walking to the bline, or their pets, or children walking home from the school bus. This makes for a very dangerous situation. I realize this is not a residential neighborhood- it's more of a city street, but I am concerned for everyone's well being and I believe making that a four-way stop would aide in motorists to slow down and be more aware of their surroundings. Thank you, Amanda

Potholes, Other Street Repair

Case Date:
7/31/2018

The Street Department has enough things to do but we would like to add something to their list. The pavement along the curb in front of our house is breaking up in good sized chunks. There are a several spots that have broken through to the dirt below. One hole is probably eight or nine inches deep and filled with muddy water. We live at 3111 East Tapps Turn. Our street is an extension west of Olcott Avenue in Hyde Park. Thanks for your help. Steve Ulrey

Parks & Rec Programs

Case Date:
7/31/2018

Hello, My name is Jacob and I am a Recreation Supervisor with Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation in Missouri. We are conducting a review of our current Inclement Weather Policies and are reaching out to various other departments around the country. We are looking for any information regarding the following: • Weather Policies regarding Extreme Heat and Lightning during outside events and activities. • Methods used to detect lightning (Weather Apps, Specific Equipment such as lightning detectors, Payed services) • If you have separate policies for different facilities. (i.e. Outdoor pools, Amphitheaters, Outdoor fields and Sports complexes) Any information that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. I can be reached at jacob.johnson@cityofls.net or 816-969-1544. Thank you,
