Does the City of Bloomington/Parks and Rec have a lifeguard:patron ratio that they implement? As of 1:30 pm, there are about 30 people in the main pool (not including the deep end) and only one lifeguard on duty. This lifeguard was seated in an oversight chair on the south side of the pool. When I asked the four off-duty lifeguards about the ratio, one told me that only a single lifeguard was sufficient for the whole pool for the number of patrons. He also indicated that they did not need to close off the west end of the pool to reduce the scan area for the lone lifeguard. However, after that, he did ask the seated lifeguard to go down to ground level to scan the pool.

What are the safety protocols for lifeguards on duty? There are two lifeguards on duty for the main pool at 2:30 pm, but the elevated chairs designed for lifeguards to easily scan the pool are empty. Instead, both lifeguards are seated together, chatting on the staff bench. There are easily 60+ people at the Bryan Park Pool now and plenty of small children. There are currently no no-smoking signs in the Upper Cascades park. My wife and I were there with our 1 year old daughter last Monday or Tuesday, and were unable to use the swings as two childless adults were smoking on the swing set and declined to move. Can prominent signage be placed to indicate the park/park system is smoke free? I would also update the park rules to be more layman friendly, as they primarily reference federal, state, and city codes (found here https://bloomington.in.gov/documents/viewDocument.php?document_id=7722). The water fountain at third street park is not draining. Also, some of the railings around the decorative fountain are loose at their bases.

The water fountain by the bathrooms at lower Cascades is leaking from inside the water fountain. It's a pretty good flow.

I think the Bryan park basketball courts need to be re done and have more lights added to them to make it a better experience

I have a question about the women's league, Is there any rules about a woman that is in the middle of becoming a man still playing in a women's league since they are taking hormones is that a harm to the other woman playing since she would be able to hit the ball a lot harder and throw faster.

One of the two infant swings is broken in Schmalz Farm Park. The broken swing is unsafe and has very sharp edges for little children. Hopefully the swing can be replaced before long.

This is about Sherwood Oaks park-(the link from the webpage for the park itself to Ureport is not working) not Elliston Drive- The growth in the field in this park is getting REALLY tall and woody-is anyone going to come out with a bush hog and cut it all down? You have mowed more in the Goat Farm Park, and you have also cleared out all that brush in the woods between the two parks, so I hope that you plan on mowing in the Sherwood Oaks field soon- Thank you- Kim

Two trees near sidewalk at SE Park on Arden Drive 00 - Montclair 00, one dead (some limbs have already fallen off) and the other tree near the speed zone sign appears to be dying.
