The cable pullers installing the fiber optics network on our court left a hole in front of my house that's huge and growing. It's nearly a yard long, over a foot wide, and at least nine inches deep. Please repair it.
Westbound traffic on 2nd Street are trying to turn into the new Rockets Convenience Store. I've been in the left turn-lane for Patterson, and someone crossed the double-yellow line to make his own "turn lane" to go into Rockets. The way the entry is shaped there should be no left turn into the facility. Westbound traffic should turn on Patterson and access Rockets the back way. There have been other posts on social media about this. There needs to be a "No Left Turn" sign or something there - it's a prime spot for an accident.
The corner of Moores Pike and Claris currently has flashing Yellow lights to help pedestrians cross Moores Pike. Drivers view yellow lights as a call to speed up not Stop. I walk there frequently but cars seldom slow or stop Sometimes the cars speed up, either to beat the light or to run over me. Perhaps it would help to change the lights to red which means Stop. Or install a regular stop light. Also, at the Southeast corner of Hillside Dr and College Mall Rd. The crossing light turns on when the vehicles turn right from Sare Rd onto Hillside Dr. This is very dangerous for the pedestrian since the corner is not visible to the cars turning right. This is an Envirosac of cement (concrete construction debris), likely left over from fiber optic installation one year ago. It is at the residence of 2809 E Daniel Street. It was a box of powdered cement, that naturally hardened into concrete, making it VERY heavy. I would like to know who to contact to remove this from the easement? Another neighbor asked the residents to please remove it, however they have not, and they likely do not think it is their place to do so since the fiber optic company fractured their driveway and did not take this box of cement with them when they repaired it. The road is almost completely inaccessible in front of the big apartment building here because cars are lining both sides of the street, even though there is only parking on one side of the street. Probably move in day in the building or something, but no excuse for lax parking rules. There was also a huge brown RV parked idling on the sidewalk, spewing fumes everywhere - and since someone kept the front door open, I'd imagine the whole building reeks of fumes, the entire street outside certainly does. I had to turn in the alleyway here to get around this street because I couldn't fit my car through the double parked cars. [Note: this was approx 20 mins ago, but I'd imagine the cars at least are still there.] Thanks for quick response, Roger
