Animal Control & Neglected Pets

1000 E Chris LN

Case Date:
7/19/2024

Heard the guy renting (Nick Robinson) bragging about how he always keeps his 4 dogs outside outback, and barely feeds them. *The attachment is him saying he hates dogs. Not sure if he was serious, but was hoping someone could stop by.

For the past few weeks there have been dogs roaming free in this area. I have nearly hit them in the street a couple times and one actually did get hit by a car a few days ago. I think they belong to the big red house in this block. They don't appear to follow and leash or restraint requirements. I am concerned for the animal's continued safety.

A deer is dead in front of this house in our neighborhood. It looks like it's been mauled to death. Neighbors heard animals screeching outside around 3:40am. The deer body, bones, and organs are all over the side of the road/sidewalk/and these people's driveway. Not sure if the city can help get it cleaned up.

I couldn't reach anyone with Animal Control. There is an owl that appears sick or injured on Forrest Ave. close to 14st. He is by the fire hydrant between two large trees on Forrest. He is not moving when approached. Thanks Jill.

Animal Control & Neglected Pets

11154 Locust Ave

Case Date:

I did a delivery to resident Emilio C on September 22, 2024. Upon entering the property, I saw about 10 - 15 small dogs VERY famished at the gate. When I got out of the car, I was met by a SWARM of flies EVERYWHERE. To the point, I went back to my car for a few seconds. When I approached the door, there was a closed crate full of kittens sitting in their feces and DIRECTLY in the sun. There was absolutely no water or food present. They had flies all over them and they were screaming and clawing towards me for “help”. The momma cat was frantic, thinking I had something for her. I fully believe these animals are severely neglected and need help.

Animal Control & Neglected Pets

133 Lexington Ave

Case Date:
7/17/2024

I was walking my dog (on leash of course) up the street and all of the sudden a dog that lives at the house 133 Lexington Ave runs at top speed across the yard and into the street and straight for my dog. I started yelling “no” at it which slowed it down and the owner must have heard because they finally called the dog back. It was very scary and my dog was incredibly anxious afterwards. I had seen this dog do a similar behavior to someone else walking a dog while driving home last week. It happened so fast I was very concerned I would’ve accidentally hit the dog had I not seen it when I did. At first I thought this was just a one off accident but now that it has happened to me I realize that this dog does not have any sort of yard containment and is becoming more bold with this behavior. It is a great concern to everyone’s safety including the uncontrolled dog. Please visit the home and explain the safety issue and legality of ensuring their dog is properly contained.
