There seems to be a blocked street at Country Club and Rogers. Also, there seems to be a blocked street at Rhorer and Walnut Street Pike. Also, there seems to be a blocked street at Grimes and Walnut. Also, there seems to be a blocked street at Country Club and Rockport. Also, Tapp is closed. Also, 2nd St. overpass is one lane. Hello - I wanted to ask if the city could do a better job decorating for Christmas this year. We moved up from Florida last year and was very surprised that there was no Christmas tree in the city center, and meager decorations -- just some strings of white lights on the courthouse. It didn't feel festive or beautiful or special. It's important, maybe not for students, but for families, older people and also business owners, I would think, to have a festive, Christmas-y and beautiful downtown. Please, Bloomington, put up a big Christmas tree this year on or around the courthouse square, and have a special lighting ceremony, with Christmas and holiday music. And do Christmas decorations on the lamp posts on Kirkwood, and maybe string lights over the avenue (like in the photo attached here, of Clematis Street in West Palm Beach). It would be great if the city could offer some professional development courses geared toward women. I work on the IU campus as a professional staff and there is very little support offered for the types of challenges we face. Because Kirkwood is closed traffic is backed up all down 6th St and Indiana. I spent 20 minutes trying to get from Indiana and 3rd St and 7th St. I work in the Poplars Building and park in the Poplars Garage and it took me 10 minutes to leave for an appointment this afternoon when there were only 2 cars ahead of me. Because of all of this traffic I was forced to take an extra 30 minutes at lunch and will have to leave 30 minutes early so I can be sure to pick up my daughter from daycare before they close. I don't have the PTO to spare and I am so frustrated. I didn't know the road would be closed until today when a co-worker mentioned it, other wise I would have had no idea. I am so angry and so frustrated that you closed this street, especially if it really was for a driverless bus test. Go test it somewhere else where you don't have high traffic! Indiana is always down to one lane.Please do not close the road tomorrow. This is going to cause accidents, not to mention the MASSIVE inconvenience. Thank you for taking the time to read this. requesting feedback: Today is Monday Jan. 15,2018 and I cannot complete some of my personal errands due to weather conditions on the streets and sidewalks.First, my mail has been delayed since Saturday from the incoming snow storm. I noticed the sidewalks were not shoveled and some places were not salted nor were some of the streets were not plowed either. I am just bringing some of the few things to this office's attention because this delays all my daily personal errands like paying bills,etc. I look forward to hearing a positive feedback from this office. It is unfortunate that city employees cannot fulfill snow-plowing jobs when there are plenty of "homeless citizens" looking for work/employment that would have look forward to plowing the streets of Bloomington,Indiana. Your construction on the city of Bloomington is awful I would like to mention that it is almost impossible to get anywhere. I leave half an hour before work which would normally be a 10min drive and still end up late on some days. Is it really necessary to have all major roads worked on at the same time?
Writing the address on the envelope to send our Property Tax check, I realized that it says 'Fairfileld, OH'. Just curious why that is. Could this not be processed in Bloomington, creating work for locals, instead of probably having to play an outsider to do this?
