Street Trees
1019 E Sheridan DR

On E. Sheridan Drive, between Manor and Hawthorne, there are pine trees on the south side of the street by the creek. The furthest east tree is leaning over heavily towards the street and biking and walking path. There are parking spots under the tree and some power lines not far away that the tree might be able to hit when it falls. The tree has a heavy sideways tilt to it. The ground around the base of the tree is raised up. The creek bed behind the tree is eroding out. It seems like a matter of time before the tree falls over, uprooted on its own. Let this be the writing I will share with anyone who is injured by the pine tree falling that shows the City is on notice as to the inherent danger of a tree on City property that is in a state of ground heaving, appears ready to be uprooted, and could cause property damage, personal injury, or death due to the City's negligence in failing to remove the tree upon notice of the danger. Good luck. Please evaluate the tree and strongly consider preemtively removing it before it does any harm.

Not sure where this is specifically as a Facebook user sent it to me with the message: There is glass by the lower Bryan park bench. Just wanted to let someone know!

Right across the street from our house a pine tree is leaning to a very extreme angle and leans more every day. this is in danger of falling on a person or house. Will the city please take this tree down?

Hi! One of the security lights are out on the pole on B-Link. We reported it a while back but duke hasn’t repaired. I thought the city might be able to get it done! It’s been out for a long time so it’s pretty dark.
Thank you!!

I was walking Bryan Park, along Woodlawn on Sunday 2/9/25 (pic is from 3:02PM) and the small security patrol vehicle was parked on the walking path across from Sheridan/Southdowns. It may have been watching the people on the tennis court. As I got closer, but still far away, it started up and drove up the walking path to the end by the tennis courts where it then moved to Woodlawn. I know this vehicle is not much more than a golf cart, however I questioned if it should be driving on the walking path. Sharing in case it is something Parks would like to know about. Thank you.

Where S Park dead-ends into Bryan Park, a beaten path has eroded and is somewhat dangerous for pedestrians. Could that be filled in as it has been in the past, or maybe even improved in a more permanent way? Thanks!

Flag football parents driving into the fields and parking on the grass in the middle of the field so they don’t have to walk from the parking lots. They seem to be taking advantage of no parking enforcement on the weekends. 10/13/24 around 12:30.

I made a report asking whether the trees on east smith street near our building location are property of the city. The case #198643 . I didn't leave any contact information, so I was reaching out to include it.

We (staff) are unsure if the trees on E Smith St (near the property location 401 S Washington St) are the city property or if they belong to us. Would you be able to tell me who they belong to? If they are the property of the city, could I schedule to get them trimmed? I was notified that there has to be 3ft clearance between the tree limbs and the property.

I had previously submitted Ureport ticket 193581 but have not heard back. I’m hoping this ticket works. There’s a large tree that is located in an old city alleyway just north of my house. It has started falling and rests against two communication lines holding it up. There’s a car parked under that tree this morning. So I’m concerned the tree may fall on it. Hope you can help soon with the tree so that no property is damaged or maybe even people get hurt.
