For some reason my recycling was ignored this morning, even though the rest of the street was collected. No note was left, so I am in the dark. If there was a reason, I'd like to know it please.
Thanks,
Keith

Address: 313 E 12th St.
I placed my recycling at the curb Sunday night. It hasn't yet been picked up. It's usually picked up around 6-7 AM. According to the magnet we got in the mail, it was supposed to be picked up today.
Please pick it up when you can.

My recycling wasn't picked up today although it is on the schedule to be and all of my neighbors had theirs removed. No notes were left with it, it was sorted, etc.

Does the City not recycle newspaper any more? Most of my recycling materials were picked up early this morning, but I was puzzled to find that the newspapers were left in the bottom of the bin. I finally went out about 1pm and brought them back inside. Should I not put my newspapers out anymore?

I received no response to my inquiry on Jan 1, 2016, so I am resending:
On the myBloomington City Services tool my address of 633 Bayberry Ct W both the Trash Day and Recycle Week is noted as “Not Available” and I never receive a Trash and Recycling Pickup Schedule magnet. Is there something wrong with the database?
Please update my address and send a magnet. Thank you.

Where and when can I take an old large TV for recycling?

The Solid Waste District hours are terrible. I was just turned away at 5:34pm as were a bunch of others (cars lined up behind me trying to leave the lot, so they expected it to be open too).
If the hours were friendly to the people trying to recycle they would be open MORE on the weekends, not less. And they would be open MORE after 5pm, not open during 9-5.
Unless you're trying to pick up recycling primarily from servers and bartenders, these hours do not make sense.

When trash and recycling is picked up on my street (S. Washington), sanitation employees throw the empty cans and bins back down, which is both very loud early in the morning and had resulted in damage to my trash cans and bins. Monday mornings, the sidewalks of S. Washington are strewn with the cans and bins that have been tossed (rather than set) back on the sidewalk.
