Sorry, but this was the most appropriate place I could find. I think the street department does a terrific job. However, I have a complaint about the actions of a snowplow. I live at 344 S. Rogers st. I went out several times yesterday to keep my front sidewalk clean. Sometime after 8 pm a snowplow came by so fast that snow was thrown not only on my sidewalk but also on the retaining wall next to the sidewalk, see the picture. What is even more annoying is that the same snowplow did not do this to my next door neighbor. I hope that in the future the snowplow driver will have more understanding of the problems with going too fast and ruining a homeowners hard work. Thank you

Why is there snowpiled up at the Bloomington Hospital bus stops? Pedestrians have to climb over piles of snow or else stand in the street.

Large areas of potholes, some very deep, on Highland Avenue. The worst area is just north of Winslow Road, where the Winslow Trail merges with the sidewalk on Highland. Often filled with water so it is difficult to tell how deep they are when driving. Also, large areas of potholes are present on both sides of Rogers Road, toward the top of the hill at the entrance to The Stands neighborhood (up the east hill from the Winslow/High/Rogers Roundabout). Please forward this praise to the appropriate dept: If we haven't thanked the appropriate department already, on behalf of Bloomington Transit I want to give an enormous thanks to all the staff responsible for clearing the roads so that BT's fixed route and BTaccess (disabled transport) could successfully maintain operations last week during the awful cold and snow. 703 S Park, 705 S Park, 717 S Park, 723 S Park, and 600 S Ballantine are regularly not removing their snow/ice. It would be a great service if you could please watch this and/or provide a warning (or if warnings have not been heeded, then the appropriate city fine). The 700 block of S Park is not easy to walk down as a result of several of them clustering together and 600 S Ballantine, most winters, generally does not remove their sidewalk snow/ice making that corner a dangerous one to walk on. There is a curb cut on Hunter Ave, it seems have serviced a vacated alley, right behind 502. S. Hawthorne. The house owners have fence the area, so perhaps they believe they own it, but GIS sees it as an alley. I was walking down west on Hunter after dark on Sunday evening, and the shrubbery shadows the street lights. Even though I have been a neighborhood resident for 2 decades, I forgot that I had to step down when on the sidewalk, and I stumbled a bit, caught myself, but then hit the curb on the other side, and fell on the sidewalk, thus abrading my right elbow and knee. I see no reason for the curb cut, and am requesting that it be filled in. We have numerous people out at night walking dogs, taking the night air, and I can imagine a more serious accident here, especially if one is elderly (at 67, I fell pretty fit.) I do feel stupid that I was not paying attention to a hazard I have been aware of for years, but there it is. Requesting additional snow removal at the intersection of Wynndale Drive and West 3rd street. The intersection by Bounds and McPike Carpet is very slick and full of snow and ice. Cars are having trouble getting up the hill there.

At the southwest corner of East Third St. at the 45-46 Bypass, there's a pile of snow that makes it difficult for pedestrians to move from the sidewalk to the crosswalk (heading east) or from the crosswalk to the sidewalk (heading west). I had to dodge briefly into the lane for cars. I know it's hard to keep all of the corners clear for pedestrians, but that's a busy corner, and even in this weather there are still some pedestrians out and about along that stretch of E. Third.

City did not plow and treat streets i Hearthstone Village in either od the last two snows. Nature's Way has the contract for drive way and sidewalk snow removal in Hearthstone village has plowed the streets somewhat, but not treated them. My understanding is that these are city streets. they have always ben plowed by the city before and my understanding that these streets are city responsibility. Please correct this oversight. Please investigate the current parking problem at 814 S. Eastside Drive. The occupants are blocking the sidewalk and parking numerous cars in the street -interfering with traffic).
