Parking on Unimproved Surface

On the weekends a car is parked in the yard of this property adjacent to the alley, but they move it during the week day. Can parking issue fines on weekends? The property as a whole is disgrace and looks like a shack, dragging down property values. Who would want to live near people like this?

The alley behind the Von Lee- our place of business and client entry way is in terrible shape- it seems bad enough that the park is overflowing with the homeless situation/loitering and then the alley is like walking on the moon. The Pavement needs attention-Happy to chat if someone wants to chat. 812-219-7691

Hello, I would like to give feedback on some unfortunate observations recently on Kirkwood Avenue and the surrounding streets. This took place last Friday evening around 8:30. We took a stroll after dinner to walk around the downtown area, and it was the first time in 20 years of living here, I felt unsafe. I witnessed people doing drugs, drinking on the street, and what appeared to be a drug deal, right on Kirkwood. I have to say I have come to expect public intoxication from college age students, but I think the police do a very good job of handling those cases. The people involved in the activities I mentioned are not college students. Most looked like they could be homeless or struggling in some way.
I understand there is no easy solution. These people need therapy, but they have to be willing to try to improve their lives. I'm not advocating arresting the people. I do think a stronger police presence is needed in these busy areas. I'd recommend posting cadets or others in uniforms strategically in the area. Maybe better lighting and security cameras would help.
Thanks,
Aaron Perry

Your website says I am eligible for a street parking permit in zone 4, but when I called to ask about getting an application they told me "the website is wrong."

Your website shows I am within zone 4 parking eligibility but when I called parking they told me "the website was wrong." My previous report was under my work address. This is close to my correct home address.

Hello,
At 7:30am, someone began jack-hammering the sidewalk immediately outside my apartment window at 222 N College Ave. There are several apartments facing that sidewalk at this location, and it is directly across the street from the Hilton Hotel. In other words, since many people may be trying to sleep in this area, it seems a bit unreasonable to start something so loud before 8am.
Thanks for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Kristen Strandberg
