Trash
Clarizz & Buick Cadillac

Last week I reported this area for having homeless encampments and excessive trash. I don't think it ever got cleared out and it is getting worse. There are a number of shopping carts with foul smelling trash and whatever else. I walk this trail everyday with many other people and I hope that this area can get cleared out soon. Most days it seems like they are just dumping more trash without anybody really staying there.

There is an abandoned bike in the woods just behind the bench. It doesn't look like it's been there very long, and it looks like a fairly decent bike. The wheels are off, but they are nearby on the ground. It seems like too-expensive of a bike to just leave in the woods.

I started using the Clear Creek Trail about 3 yrs ago and was impressed with the way it was maintained. Last summer and so far this year not a lot of attention has been given to upkeep.no one seems to be mowing or cleaning the trail after a high wind when limbs have been blown down.
One place that keeps getting worst is as the trail turns and runs along Rockport Rd. There is a large brush pile that has been there for the three years I have been using the trail and now it's starting to push a little more out onto the trail.
There has been several limbs, some big enough to block the trail and I personally have removed the just so I could use the trail. This past winter the trash cans were full and the contents was blowing out onto the trail.
It would be nice if you could give a little more attention to this matter. Thank you

Your "choose location" option sucks. The "pothole" I'm reporting is the newly constructed Tapp Road in its entirety. Have any of you driven on that? You can actually SEE the waves in the pavement and it's such a rough ride that it's jarring. And you're going to open the bridge with the road in that condition? Shameful.

On the bicycle sidepath bridge, where Tapp Rd goes over Clear Creek, some sheet metal has pealed loose and sticks up. Here is a Google Maps Satellite view showing its location:

Porta Potty's on both ends of these trails need cleaned. From Tapp to That rd.

The entire length of the Clear Creek Trail from Tapp Road to Church Lane needs serious tree trimming work. The number of branches obstructing the path is quite high all throughout the trail. It's dangerous as people dodge branches.

Hi! I was wondering if there might be any plans, long-term or short-term, for devising a somewhat less death-defying way for the Bloomington Rail Trail to cross Rogers Road (between Gordon Pike and That Road). Especially if you are on the Trail traveling south, because of the angle at which the Trail crosses Rogers, it is nearly impossible to see oncoming north-bound traffic. I am a long-time user of the trail (for more than 15 years), and have crossed Rogers at that point countless times, on foot and on my bicycle, as there really was no other option. Lately, however, I have been using the new “spur” trail, and crossing through to That Road using the construction staging area for the “SOMO” development, so that I can then cross Rogers at a 90° angle, with a clear view of traffic. That is a less-harrowing way to cross Rogers, of course. But it is not clear to me that the spur trail will continue to access That Road after the “SOMO” development is fully built out. And, using this method does mean that I have to use the traffic lane over the narrow bridge where That Road crosses over Clear Creek before I can re-join the Rail Trail headed south. It seems to me likely that traffic on this part of Rogers will increase when the Gordon-Fullerton connector is completed next month, exacerbating the situation. So, this is not an emergency of any kind. But just a query to see if the City has any plans to address the issue. Thank you for your time, and for all the good work that you do.
