I just wrote another ticket about the stationing of a cop outside my business. (203632) I approached the officer and asked him to keep moving along as to not deter customers. He was immediately condescending, admitted to watching a movie while idling next to my business, and then attempted to brush off my request as “anti cop” which was deflective of the conversation I was trying to have as a tax payer and Kirkwood business owner. It’s not hard to understand that cops are easily an intimidating presence especially in patrol mode right next to your business door. Car #1705

Hello- I just wanted to report a parks and rec truck driving on the clear creek trail between that road and rockport road driving way too fast down the middle of the road and narrowly running me off the trail and into the grass. This could have been really bad if I was elderly or disabled and unable to move out of the way. The plate # was 45090.

Yard at the house has been overgrown for years. This has been going on for years. Looks great when students are moving in the neighborhood. Why can’t the city do something about it. Why does this person get special treatment? If so then just get rid of CITY CODE.

Mayo has installed a new post ( pole ) on my property at the corner of Brownridge and Fieldcrest in Hoosier acres. They did extensive digging around the area and were supposed to reseed, since I had my lawn completely reseeded this last fall. This has not been done and there is a muddy mess at the corner. Moreover holes were made at various places on the lawn and these were never filled in. This is a hazard in mowing or just walking on the lawn. If someone catches there foot in the hole it could result in a broken leg or twisted ankle. Mayo or the city would then be responsible. There are little flags all over the lawn, which needs to be mowed. Should I just remove these ?. Is the work completed ? On the pole there is a street lamp to replace the one currently at the corner, but neither is working, which is another hazard. The ditch in the area has also collapsed. Hi, There's a couple of large road cuts at the intersection of Lincoln and 6th St. If the city is not planning on filling these any time soon could we at least get the sharp edges softened? Sometimes I've seen this done and it makes road cuts much easier to drive over without damaging your tires. Thanks, Vickie Nelson Bloomington

Does the city have a plan for taking in, and disposing of, our old trash bins and cans? Saying that "Residents are encouraged to reuse their old trash cans as yard waste containers" seems ingenuous. How long a yard waste season goes Bloomington have? -- 6 months? Where will I store 2 35-gal. cans and a 20-gal., plus the 3 bins currently used for recycling -- since my garage will be filled up with two 64-vallon containers?

I live at 712 North Washington. I asked for a medium size recycling bin and I got a small one. How can I exchange it? Also my recycling bin was left in the street by the sanitation worker. Is this the new policy?

Residents on my street (Autumn Drive) left old trash cans out to be picked up for the first three weeks of the new sanitation program, but none of them were picked up. Why? Should we continue setting them out every day?

Thank you for new trash/recycling system. It is convenient. I don't have to carry heavy bins. No sorting needed. I'm grateful!
