STREET LIGHT AT END OF HARVEY DR,HAS QUIT WORKING. THIS LIGHT SHINES ON PARKING AREA AT THE HIGHLAND PARK.
Making left turn from Keri Marie Lane onto Azalea is difficult with overgrown bushes. Traffic from right on Azalea is coming from YMCA on a curve and on the left is a hill - so line of sight to the right is important to make a safe left turn
Trees on swale need trimming, you cannot walk on sidewalk standing upright. There are trees that need trimming on both sides of East Keri Mari Lane in swale - between sidewalk and road.
When the City upgraded the intersection of 7th and Walnut, the workers failed to paint the crosswalk on the pavement across Walnut St on the north side of the intersection. It has been this way since last summer.
Very restricted line of sight at the intersection of W. Countryside Lane and Rockport Road.
trees and bushes obstruct view at Highland and Azalea lane. Sorry, I previously submitted report and erronously typed Azalea and Keri Marie. Highland was what I meant (runs past YMCA and Bloomington Learning Center)
There is a large amount of gravel and sand in the street at the southwest portion of the intersection of E. Atwater and Swain Ave. This has created treacherous conditions for cyclists traveling east on Atwater and turning south onto Swain.
Several areas of concern in the Winslow Farm/Walnut Creek neighborhoods: 1) Along S. Henderson across from the ice rink, adjacent to Bayberry Condos, and south of Wylie Farm Road to Graham Drive have a number of limbs handing over the sidewalk. 2) Wylie Farm Road from Henderson to Azalea Lane has limbs over the sidewalk (near Henderson and over the wooden walkways near Azalea Lane are areas of particular safety concern). 3) Azalea Lane east of Summerwood Court, across from Summit Pointe Apartments, and adjacent to the 2100 S. Bent Tree Drive and 2101 S. Bent Tree Drive has tree limbs hanging over the sidewalk. Also, grass and brush is growing nearly four feet high in the strip. (See attached photo) Thank you for arranging inspection and monitoring the property owners (Bayberry HOA, Winslow Farm HOA, and homeowners adjacent to the property on Azalea Lane) taking care of these public safety issues and code violations.
The weeds along the street are overwhelming the sidewalk in this area. Not sure who is responsible for upkeep--city or adjacent property owners.
There needs to be improved lighting on Law Lane on the sidewalks of both sides of the street between the SRSC and the 10th street parking lot so that students are visible as they are getting ready to cross the street and while they are crossing the street. In addition, it would be extremely helpful to have a marked crosswalk across Law Lane from the SRSC to the 10th Street parking lot that has reflective paint on it or has reflectors on the ground so it is visible when lights shine on it and so students have a clearly marked area in which they should cross. I had to drive this way in the fall many evenings when it was dark and it scared me to death. The lighting was so poor that I had to practically come to a stop in this area to see whether there were students getting ready to cross the street. Thank you for your consideration! Carol Hetrick
