The intersection of W Watson and Madison, in the Broadview Neighborhood, is used all the time to cut traffic and miss the light. Cars don't stop. They fly through the intersection. Can no pass through signs go up, but also a speed bump on either side? A speed bump on each side of the intersection would stop people from all sides. The neighbors also fly through the stop signs there.
At early hours and evening hours, it is nearly impossible to see pedestrians moving on these crosswalks. As an extremely safe driver who never takes their eyes off of the road, I have had several encounters with the crosswalks in this area where I can barely see a pedestrian and have to brake rather hard as I see them so late. I know this is an issue for many other people as we have been discussing it and given that those crosswalks are utilized for all stadium related events, they need to be better lit to ensure the safety of all pedestrians as they lie in an extremely busy road where cars go rather fast.

Would like to see pedestrian signage or repainting of crosswalk, added reflectors. Have seen increase in pedestrians since more residential built and football games. Have seen pedestrians struggle to cross street and has concerns of accidents that could happen near our business.

Re: Kirkwood/Walnut...if you're in front of the Book Corner, or across from it in front of the Courthouse trying to get to the Book Corner corner, and it's you've just this second gotten the green pedestrian sign, you will not make it across during the green hand (or whatever the symbol is). Never. I'm really healthy and I can't get across before the pedestrian sign changes and opens up the car traffic. Turning cars are not inclined to watch pedestrians, they're distracted by oncoming traffic and timing their own turns. Thus, squashed pedestrian. Kind of you to take an interest, Neil. The 'bicycle lane' sign is down at 17th and Indiana.
Sign is down on 10th by Hodge Hall. Sign indicates 'divided lanes'.
