Street light out in front of the entrance to the city's public works fenced in parking lot. It's been out for over a year.
The alley section behind our business and that of the Von Lee Building on E. Kirkwood is in need of paving. The patching done a few weeks ago has loosened and many potholes remain. Can the city please budget this section of the alley to be re-paved as it is now a common traffic thoroughfare and in disrepair? Also, there is a Piazza truck driver who parks his truck daily along a stretch of this alley while eating his 2-3 hour lunch. He is not conducting business while parked there each weekday. There is a "no parking" sign adjacent to where he parks. He claims there is no where else he can park and eat his lunch...As Spring weather comes, this alley gets much mixed use traffic, and his truck is a barrier to the flow of traffic. I spoke with him today and he admitted that he just parks there to eat - he is not delivering to the Von Lee building. Parking fees?
At the intersecetion of Sweetbriar Dr. and Sweetbriar Circle in Winslow Farm Addition,(across from BHS South baseball field) the metal water cover has popped up. I looks like it is cracked/broken and someone needs to check on it as it could damage cars, tires or someone might step into the hole.
It has been reported to me that Beach Tree Apartments, 1724 E. Hillside Dr only have one smoke detector per unit. Each unit is tri-level and should have multiple detectors. The one detector I saw myself was clearly very old and in need of replacement. (This report came into test on 03-07-2013. I inserted it into production on behalf of Scott. -alan)
Massive pothole. Disruptive to IU campus buses who travel through here. Initially submitted 03-08-2013
I have made this complaint before, and the response was that something was going to be done about it "soon" but that was about 6 months ago. The intersection of Allendale and Winslow is VERY DANGEROUS. Drivers blow through the stop signs on a VERY regular basis, especially people traveling East on Winslow. I believe that many people do not notice the stop sign at all. I am surprised that there have not been more accidents here. I suggest that a blinking light be put on the stop sign at the least. It would be best to make it a blinking red in all directions. The response I received last year was that a bigger, new "stop ahead" sign was going to be installed and a stop sign was going to be added on the North side of the intersection (facing east bound traffic) to catch drivers' attentions. However, nothing at all has been done. I have seen someone run this stop sign 4 times in the last week, and I am not at that intersection very long each day.
Stop light at walnut and hillside isn't working right. If your going north on walnut approaching the stop light the left turn isn't working. You can be in the turn lane and will never get a left turn light, makes it very hard to turn.
Cayden lane Bloomington in. Is a gravel street with a business and Several houses on it. It is in dyer need of repair and matienance . The pot holes are very large and the surface is extremely uneven I know of three cars that have had to replace tires do to the depth of the pot holes. The gravel is all but gone and is a compleat mess for everyone on the lane. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated considering we, here on Cayden lane have not seen a city worker to care for this road in 3 years.
