Switchyard Park - at the kids playground, the large black swings at the south end are really squeaky. Can someone go over there with a ladder and a can of WD-40 or other lubricant and see if that helps quiet the swings? Thanks.
My next door neighbor has set up a unhoused encampment next door. They have unleashed dogs we can climb under the fence and there is no access to water, trash disposal, or bathroom facilities. No discussion was had with me prior to the encampment moving in and it is preventing me or my dog being able to use our backyard.
After the last trash collection, our bin is broken/cracked in a few places along the top, including the middle of the handle. Is it possible to get a replacement? It's the small size. Thanks!
Unhoused folks are gathering in the tree line behind the soup kitchen and setting up camp. This is a residentially area that backs up against the mailboxes of the homes in the area. Found many needles and have often heard screaming and fighting in early hours of the morning.
Top layer of asphalt has chipped away making wheelchair access to the little pantry difficult. As an able bodied ambulatory person, I confess I fell down when my foot unexpectedly encountered this drop-off. Please patch the asphalt.
The entry to Muller Parkway and the short distance to the first speed bump to the entrance of the Muller Village Apartments seems to create a challenge of going as fast as possible before the first speed bump. We have had cars speed by here so fast that their engine is revving and the car is a blur. Residents and visitors from the mobile home park attempting to pull out are put in a dangerous situation, end these folks are old retired folks. I am owner of Stewart Electric Supply across from the mobile home park, and we have customers backing out of our lot to get back onto Muller. This is very dangerous for them, and they have angry drivers that are blaming our customers and employees for slowing them down. Honking and angry drivers is not unusual. We would like to request a speed bump in front of our shop at 320 S. Muller Parkway in an effort to slow these drivers down.
The corner of Moores Pike and Claris currently has flashing Yellow lights to help pedestrians cross Moores Pike. Drivers view yellow lights as a call to speed up not Stop. I walk there frequently but cars seldom slow or stop Sometimes the cars speed up, either to beat the light or to run over me. Perhaps it would help to change the lights to red which means Stop. Or install a regular stop light. Also, at the Southeast corner of Hillside Dr and College Mall Rd. The crossing light turns on when the vehicles turn right from Sare Rd onto Hillside Dr. This is very dangerous for the pedestrian since the corner is not visible to the cars turning right. ATT has not repaired downed utility lines since the storm several months ago. Who is responsible for making sure that ATT takes care of their lines? (I am not an ATT customer)
Concrete sidewalk deteriorated in two sections here on west side of Aswood Dr just south of Cedarwood Circle Dr.
The storm sewer grate at the end of Olive St where it intersects with Hillside Dr is installed so that the holes are parallel to the direction of travel, and thus bicycle wheels can fall into them. Best practices for safe infrastructure should install them facing the other direction.
