Trails

I am a frequent user of the Jackson Creek trail and connector up to Olcott Park. The trail just east of the bridge between Sherwood Oaks and Olcott has had drainage problems from the start, but they have steadily become worse, and now this section of the trail is not only messy, flooded and muddy, but to the point of being dangerous. I attach a picture of the mud accumulation on the trail at the bottom of the hill that students returning home from JCMS often ride with their bicycles. This mud is very slick, and it surely just a matter of time before a serious accident happens. I have another picture showing the mud accumulation right by the bridge, which is also an issue. Some effort to control the drainage form the east would solve this problem. Thanks. Arthur

A cut for a culvert under the multi-use path leading to the tunnel under the bybass has not been repaved with asphalt. It is dangerous for bikers and many are diverting around on the grass. This will soon cause erosion. Please fix this pavement gap as soon as possible.

311-399 W 8th St

The location is Maxwell La. & Sheridan Rd. (I don't know how 311 W. 8th st.came up on this form!) I leave 834 Sheridan to go to High St. via Maxwell about 4-5x/week for the past 7 years, and I've always thought how helpful it would be to have a stop sign on Maxwell to make a left turn there safer. Cars going east on Maxwell are not seen as I stop at Sheridan until about 2-3 car lengths distance because they are coming up a hill. Many times, even though I've looked carefully, a car will come up behind me quite close after I've made my left turn, & often it's because I think the other car might be going a bit fast. A stop sign here could make the turn much safer. (This form needs a "reply requested" option. I would appreciate a reply!Thank you.)

The location listed is incorrect but I couldn't get the locator to work properly. The area in question is 600 block of S. Rogers, in between Centerstone and Bloomington Hospital. Many employees of both businesses cross Rogers St frequently but there is no cross walk. Is it possible to investigate the option of a crosswalk in this location?

311 S Swain AVE

Case Date:
2/5/2014

Swain is no parking on both sides of the street between 3rd street and Atwater. And it is marked with 'No Parking Any Time' signs in several spots. There is one spot that people always park. Sometimes even going the wrong way. This spot is next to the Ami restaurant parking lot. This is especially dangerous when delivery trucks are parked on the other side of Swain delivering to Mother Bears. I've attached a photo to show cars parking in this spot. There is a sign in front of these cars, and another behind them. Where they are parked is a curb that has the entrance to the Ami parking lot to the front of them and to the back of them. They think since there is no sign on this part of the curb that they can park there. I would like to see a sign posted in this part of the curb. Having s sign posted in this part of the curb would eliminate most if not all of this parking.
