Potholes, Other Street Repair

213 N Grant ST

Case Date:
7/16/2024

The stretch of Grant Street between Kirkwood and 8th has multiple places that have been patched multiple times over the last few years, making it really bumpy and uneven. It is especially bad close to where the Poplars used to be. If you have a list of streets you are planning on resurfacing, please include those three blocks. There is not one single place such as a huge pothole that needs a big repair - it's just an area that in general is more like cobblestone than paving. Bumpy for bicycles, and maybe also for cars.

See case #205129 about couch on porch. That was just one of *many* cases in town submitted *four months ago* about couches on porches, yet most still remain, including at this address. What does the public need to do to differently so that such cases are efficiently acted upon? Have the property owners of record been fined in these cases?

Parking Meters and Citations

213 N Morton ST

Case Date:
11/28/2025

I am writing to inform you that I just had to pay $60 for a parking citation that was not warranted. I have screenshots when I purchased my spot and I still had an hour left when I made it to my car. I am a travel nurse working at IU and I assumed that if I payed the meter for my parking spot I would not wake up to find that I get a ticket. I am NOT happy with this at all. Instead of paying $10 for a 10 hour slot I ended up paying $70. I attempted to appeal but was not able to complete the process. If there is any way that you can fix this I would be very grateful.
