Street Lights
927 N Jackson ST
- Case Date:
- 8/23/2014
Police reports have been filed because car robberies have occurred numerous times on Jackson Street. We were hoping to get street lights put in order to maybe reduce the amount of theft in the neighborhood.
- Case Date:
- 3/5/2018
Second Report: House at 717 North Maple has been long abandoned, windows are broken and anyone could get in; at risk of becoming a drug house. (Address on map is incorrect - I wish there was a way to enter a street address into the map)
Parks & Playgrounds
927 S Dunn ST
- Case Date:
- 4/19/2018
I took my 3 year old son to Bryan Park yesterday and a man had a dog with him that was poorly restrained (on a 25 foot cable). My son was running towards the toddler playground when the dog ran after him and knocked him down. The dog was on top of my child for several seconds and while the dog didn't harm my son, it was a very frightening experience for him. I don't want him to be afraid of dogs, and I've been trying to teach him to appreciate animal companionship. I don't know what the rules are for leashes in Bryan Park, but dogs need to be handled better, especially near or around the kids' playgrounds. I didn't get the man's name or information but I took a picture. He was walking on a bright orange tightrope and he had a white dog (young, probably a puppy - this is the one that chased my son) and a black dog.
Traffic Signals
927 South College Mall Road
- Case Date:
- 8/10/2015
The walk light across College Mall at Buick Cadillac is malfunctioning again. It worked a few times but it stopped again today. I use it daily.
Street Trees
928 W Kirkwood AVE
- Case Date:
- 7/2/2024
Damage from recent storm. Treekeeper Site ID 38515, Kentucky Coffeetree. Unsure as to integrity, so wanted to check, especially as the cuts were made by a passerby during the storm (as the downed branch was blocking Kirkwood traffic). More photos available to send, too.
Traffic Suggestions
930 N Smith RD
- Case Date:
- 12/8/2014
The intersection of 10th and N. Smith Road during peek traffic hours gets backed up for those coming from the south on N. Smith Road. Because of the long line of traffic, entrances to the Meadow Smith Apartments get blocked, and I'd imagine it makes things a bit more difficult for the gas station there as well.
Has the city entertained the idea of making that a three way stop rather than only requiring traffic coming in from Smith Road to stop? The traffic levels seems to suggest a need for it.
I could send in a photo next time I see a back up if you'd like.
