Street & Traffic Signs
High & Rock Creek @ Childs
- Case Date:
- 10/23/2024
These road work signs have been here for many weeks and they create a very dangerous situation for people turning from Rock Creek north onto High Street, especially during the hours when Childs school pickup and drop off is happening. You cannot see the oncoming traffic!

The sidewalk has not been cleared of snow - thus my son had to wait for the City bus in the street. There are at least 5-10 kids that get on the bus at this stop every morning.

Hidden Meadow
- Case Date:
- 11/18/2017
We moved into a new house in Hidden Meadow in May of this year, and after 6 months we still do not have a street sign. Our address is 5274 N Filbert Drive, Bloomington, 47404, our street name is N Filbert Dr.
This is a safety and liability concern, if emergency vehicles – fire, ambulance, or police had to find one of the houses on our street, they would be unable to, especially since our street still doesn’t show up on Google maps. The thought of something bad happening to a member my family or to me and knowing that help might not find us is very unsettling.
We’ve waited for 6 months and still no sign. I'm not sure who to contact, and whether it is the city, the planning department, or the developer who is responsible for street signs, but I'm hoping you can help me figure out who I can contact - if it isn't your office.
Thanks!
