Potholes, Other Street Repair

Case Date:
3/7/2014

Our home is located at 1006 South Grant Street, beside a city alley in the Bryan Park neighborhood. That city alley is in desperate need of more gravel. In addition, due to the lack of gravel, the entry onto the alley from the Grant Street entry(heading west to Lincoln St.) is now crushing the exposed, large drainage pipe. This city drainage is typically underneath and not even seen so it now seems to need dirt, too! When cars drive over it there is now a big dip which has been created. Please put on your spring list to re-gravel and repair! Thank you!

Hi, I'm wondering how I can add (or request to add) an event for the Lotus Education & Arts Foundation to the City of Bloomington online calendar. Thanks!

Trails

Case Date:
3/10/2014

I often walk my dog on the trail. About every afternoon the Lighthouse Christian School has a large group of kids running on the trail. They seem to take over the trail. I was just wanting to know if every school in Bloomington did this who would the trail belong to? The public for walking, ect. or to the schools? Seems to me that if you let one school all of them could take advantage of this. I do not like to be walking and have to step aside for a group of jogging kids!

Drainage or Runoff

Case Date:
3/10/2014

We live at the bottom of a hill and there is no storm drain on our road at all. As a result, we get all the water runoff from Adams and connecting roads directly into our yard. We would like a drain put into our block. Additionally, we have had major flooding in our back yard from the open water ditch that runs next to our house (we have already reported this once). Something needs to be done to prevent our house being flooded out because of city drainage issues. Thank you. We live at 1315 W 6th St.

Our next door neighbor (to the west) have a giant pile of garbage and a separate pile of kitty litter in his back yard. Both piles are several feet tall and several feet wide. You can smell the piles around the neighborhood. They are also hazardous since they are right next to an open water drainage ditch. I know that these same people have been reported to the city several times before about the same thing (by the previous owners). What can be done to address this issue?

Potholes, Other Street Repair

Case Date:

several large and deep potholes behind our busy business/alley off East Kirkwood Downtown. Please fill with "something" to prevent our customers from hurting themselves bicycling from our business. We are aware that the winter weather has made road travel challenging all over town, however, this is a very heavily traveled alleyway between the University and city, and people can and will get hurt. Please consider collaborating with Indiana University officials to use concrete on this alleyway. The asphalt is not doing the job given the large amount of truck travel and parking/delivery load each day for the nearby restaurants and bars. Sunlight does not occur here given the height addition of the old Von Lee building...this exacerbates the drainage and saturation issues on the asphalt. Thanks.

Hello- I was wondering if it's possible for the City to replant some of the trees along the bypass by Matlock Heights (between Dunn and Walnut). I live in the neighborhood on Vernon, and since the bypass was expanded we can now see a lot of traffic from our back deck, and the noise has increased significantly. Are there any plans to replace some of the trees that were removed in the process? I actually think our property values have gone down in the neighborhood because of it. Please let me know if there is anyone I can talk to or anything I can do?? Thank you!
