Just curious as to why an off duty Bloomington police officer is at the Bedford Lowe’s in a city police vehicle and then proceeded to head south on Highway 37 towards Mitchell IN. Vehicle #1248.
The corner of Moores Pike and Claris currently has flashing Yellow lights to help pedestrians cross Moores Pike. Drivers view yellow lights as a call to speed up not Stop. I walk there frequently but cars seldom slow or stop Sometimes the cars speed up, either to beat the light or to run over me. Perhaps it would help to change the lights to red which means Stop. Or install a regular stop light. Also, at the Southeast corner of Hillside Dr and College Mall Rd. The crossing light turns on when the vehicles turn right from Sare Rd onto Hillside Dr. This is very dangerous for the pedestrian since the corner is not visible to the cars turning right. I play in the adult softball league at the Twin Lakes ballfields. It has been storming with heavy rains since 7:00 this evening (Tuesday). As of 9:00pm tonight, the weather hotline still says "all games at all locations are on at all locations.....check back for updates". Obviously there is going to be no game tonight for anybody. C'mon guys, please at least update your voicemail for those of us that check that message and hurry to Twin Lakes only to find that it's flooded and nobody is there. This is the second time this has happened to my team this summer season....bad weather with no voicemail update. This is becoming a real problem, please do better.

During heavy rains, we have been having sewage backing up into our basement. I suspect the cause may be rain water entering the sewer system through this manhole.

The traffic light does not trigger for cars east bound on Rockport approaching Rogers Street. The timing is way off, even when there is no cross traffic on Rogers it can take several minutes before it changes.
