There is a very large recent graffiti tag on the west wall of the railroad underpass that needs to be painted over asap. I understand there is a special crew that handles graffiti. There is also graffiti on the East wall and on the east and west walls of the underpass directly east on Walnut St.

The railroad underpasses on College and Walnut, the one on College is just south of 14th street is full of graffiti again, not a good message to send to visitors and a downers for residents.

Sidewalk Requests

We have a sidewalk already, but I have a question about modifying it. We are considering having some drainage work done on our property and would like a drain/grate through the sidewalk to help with water draining. We've seen some in the sidewalks along Blair Ave. and were curious about how to have one installed. House appears unlocked and accessible to anyone with front glass storm door banging in the wind, back door to basement open many times. A variety of people occasionally enter. Multiple ways to enter house through missing windows etc… With cold weather pipes may have frozen. Tenants have been or are in process of being evicted but meanwhile trash remains that can act as projectiles in high wind damaging nearby people or properties, non functioning vehicle in driveway with open windows etc… Current condition of house is unsafe and unsightly and prevents other neighbors’ enjoyment of their properties and is dangerous in terms of possible illegal activities that could take place in what is for all purposes an abandoned property. Sarge Rentals manages property and is apparently trying to resolve situation over the past two months.

Glass front porch door hanging off hinges and is potential projectile with high winds/storms. Also porch roof has many loose shingles and gutters are hanging- again potential projectiles to nearby houses, businesses, street and pedestrians.

The trash and multiple appliances have now been stacked closer to my window (thx) but the grass overgrowth is so high and ticks and other critters are a concern. Also the contracted mowing crew from rental management will have huge challenges mowing the 3 feet out from the property of next door rental. 60 inch swath mower today. Property extends out from privacy fence sections approx 3 feet.
A power washing team is also coming soon. I see the former ticket is considered “resolved” and closed. I don’t know who is in charge of the renovations- seems like several crews. Meanwhile the right to a view and enjoyment of my premises seems to be getting closer to a legal issue.
