Street Lights
750-798 West 9th Street
- Case Date:
- 9/22/2016
Streetlight at SE corner of W 9th and N Maple streets flickers off and on rather than providing steady bright light as the other streetlights do.
I will report this to Duke at the address you provided above.
Street Snow Removal
745-761 East Thornton Drive
- Case Date:
- 1/15/2018
To my knowledge, E Thornton Dr (cross street is Henderson near Black Lumber) has not seen a snow plow since the beginning of the recent snow fall. The side streets and courts off E Thornton are filled with mushy snow and very difficult for the residents to navigate. Any plowing help that can be spare would be greatly appreciated.

Traffic Related Complaints
740-798 North Woodlawn Avenue
- Case Date:
- 3/30/2016
The intersection at Woodlawn and 11th street poses significant potential danger to drivers, walkers, and bicyclists. I walk past this intersection every day and have seen several near-accidents. I propose a 3-way stop at this intersection.
Vehicle traffic going North and South is always traveling quickly and don’t always see walkers crossing Woodlawn. In some cases, I have witnessed drivers stopping to allow walkers to cross. But, this causes drivers going one-way on Woodlawn to attempt to cross. I propose implementing 2 stop signs on 11th street. This will allow walkers and bicyclists the right of way, and will help drivers better communicate between Woodlawn (one-way street) and 11th Street.
Potholes, Other Street Repair
739 E Winslow Farm DR
- Case Date:
- 7/1/2024
Pothole is in the road near our mailbox. There has been some confusion this year about whether Bloomington is responsible for maintaining the road area in Winslow Farm that circles the islands. We got no snow removal during the snowfall after the first of the year. We have lived in our house since 2015, and the City has always plowed it in winter and filled holes.
Blocked Sidewalk
739 E Winslow Farm DR
- Case Date:
- 7/1/2024
The large section of the fir tree that blew down last Tuesday is blocking both the sidewalk and the entire southbound lane of Highland. This sidewalk is used by a lot of Winslow Farm residents who walk to the YMCA or trail around the park to the east of Highland. I've seen people walk into the street to get around the large tree section. I hope that will be removed soon. Highland gets a lot of traffic especially when there are events at the Winslow Sports Complex. Removal of the tree should be a high priority.
