Regarding uReport case #169184 I just got an email saying the case is closed after the city arborist reached out to me. I never heard a peep from a city arborist regarding my inquiry about the prairie landscapes in Olcott Park. I was disappointed that I did not hear from anyone.

People driving off road vehicles on Jackson creek trail, driving on,the basketball court, driving on the playground a 6pm in the evening with people playing basketball, little kids on the play ground and users on the trail. The also drove them in the grass through the butterfly area trails. Black Nissan truck with trailer two off road vehicles. Guess you need a sign what would seem to be obviously irresponsible. It was a family with 2 adults and two, maybe three kids.
The drinking fountain by the playground in Southeast park seems not to drain properly - all the water pours out underneath the bowl.
There is a sick and unstable tree that is posing a big risk for the neighbors, some of which walking with kids and strollers (babies). Please take care of this asap. It's at 4007 E stonegate Ct. 47401.
There is a section of 'street' between Dunn and Henderson that I believe was supposed to be a continuation of E Wilson Street. It is just a grass area that the city owns. However, the city is doing no maintenance on this piece of property. There is a dead pine tree that needs to be removed and a very large maple tree that is overgrown and threatening to drop branches onto cars. This tree also present a health issue in that there is a large poison ivy vine growing up the tree. I have tried calling the city forester multiple times without response. Can the one tree be removed, the other pruned and cleared of poison ivy, and the grass on this city land occasionally mowed?
We are the 1556 S. Andrew Circle, Bloomington residents. This dead tree belongs to the City and it happened to be located right in front of our house. It really hurts our neighborhood’s green environment. We are encouraged to notify the City in order to remove or replace this Dead Tree ASAP. We tried several calls within the last three weeks, but no one really knows where we need to report. Finally we were asked to contact Mr. LEE from your forest department. But He neither answer our phone call nor response to our messages. We are very upset with Lee’s irresponsible attitude. If this is not his responsibility, he needs to call us and let us know who will be the right person to call. His ignorance to residents’s request is not acceptable. We are forced to write this email and hope City will pay attention to it. There is no too small things can be ignored if City really takes its responsibility. Hope to hear from you soon. Hi - there is a mosquito infestation in the woods between Oaklawn park & meadowcreek. I can see the trail from backyard. There was a cloud of mosquitos. It is a wildlife sanctuary there are what I believe rare birds I do not want it cut down but I want an arborist/ ecologist to assess if pine forests naturally have 2 feet of weeds, vines, underbrush. I googled misquote habitat & it says this exactly. Does the city own this easement ( trail)? If not - is it in city limits & issue a citation? I looked on city website there is a line here so I don’t know if the woods is on city or county side. There is a new disease in America , EEE, that mosquitos carry and it can be fatal or cause seizures. I know Mother Nature does their landscaping. Tree branches have gotten so long they are hanging in the roadway. All through Sweetbriar neighborhood. Cars have to veer out of lane to avoid. High profile vehicles are breaking branches out of the trees. Trees need to be trimmed back so we can drive.
