Switchyard basketball court lighting: Most of the park is well lit at night (pickleball court, skate park, etc.) but the basketball court isn't. Constituent would like to request lighting there so it's safer/easier to see.
Hi, It seems there maybe miscommunication within the chain of command or not a 100% buy-in to "best practice" or a little of both. Report #181846 described a problem and its location. Unfortunately the problem has not been addressed in any way. However, it does look as though some one came through with a leaf blower and cleared the cypress leaves that had covered the trail further up towards Southeast park, next to tennis court entrance and wood post. I do very much appreciate that as the the pavement is very bumpy there in the corner and can cause loss of control of bike or scooter as well as trip walkers. I don't have construction experience but have used a shovel in the yard and that is probably all it would take. Just a shovel and one person to remove some soil blocking the current grade from working properly. If that isn't the solution how about adding a thin layer of pavement so runoff goes the other direction. I believe this was done on Renwick trail, there are patches of pavement here and there. My son was arrested and his vehicle was left over there. Why isn't there a ramp leading to the observation area for soccer at Twin Lakes? Tonight I witnessed two individuals in wheel chairs at the complex who wanted to watch the soccer games. The first person had to be carried up and down the stairs and the wheelchair was left near the bottom of the stairs. The second person remained in her wheel chair and the person she was with pulled the entire wheel chair up the stairs, step by step. Why can't the city build a ramp for everyone to use to get up to the observation platform? This is not accessible for people in wheel chairs and it needs to be addressed. Thank you for your time.
Tree at Sare & Mill Stone Way damaged by contractor work and city work over several months. Looks like all the work is finally done. Tree needs to be taken care of please, i.e., proper trimming of broken and dangling branches, some are cracked making the tree vulnerable to critters and disease. Also, at least one branch is dangling in the line of traffic, it is not safe.
On Sunday 12/4 at about 12:00 PM, I went to use the Electric Vehicle Chargers in the Switchyard parking lot. The two chargers on the south side would not activate when I plugged the cables into my car. I tried both of them. The two north chargers were in use by other cars and appeared to be working. I did not see the power light indicator on the two south stations, so it might just be a switched off breaker or it could be something wrong with the stations. Regardless, it should be looked into.
There's a large dead tree about to fall into Smith road here.
The red maple tree (site id 30159?), along the street at 2320 E Woodbine Ave. is not healthy and is becoming a hazard. The top of the tree and many branches are dead. This evening (2/16/23) a large limb fell out of the tree and onto the sidewalk. I tried to attach a photo of the large limb, branches and debris on the sidewalk, but it keeps processing and won't go through. We have cleared the debris and limb from the sidewalk.
The trail that runs around Winslow Park has a large rotted tree that is likely to fall onto the trail. It is roughly where the trail goes behind 2824 s Wexley rd
