Most all of Maple Street is marked as No Parking, except a short distance before it intersects with 11th street. 2-3 cars consistently park in that short distance, fully occupying the right side of the road. Cars turning onto Maple from 11th cannot see when a car is approaching the intersection on Maple, and the cars on Maple are forced to stop on the opposite side of the road, causing near miss accidents daily and excessive honking. I would like to request that the “No Parking” zone be extended all the way to the stop sign as all residences (including the apartments in the photo) have designate parking areas. The intersection is also frequented by school and city busses, causing even more danger.

This 4th street corridor path has weed growing up through the path along the western end. It sure would be good if it was regularly maintained and kept free of vegetation.

The North/South alley between 810 W. 7th and 804 W. 7th is being encroached upon by gardens, woodpiles, trees/vegetation and possibly the fence and cinder block garage owned by 810 W 7th St. As a result, the alley traffic is being diverted outside of the alley right of way and onto the private property located at 804 W. 7th. This appears to have been going on for a number of years. As the new owner of 804 W. 7th St., it is my full intention to re-claim the property/property line currently being encroached upon and proceed with renovations. I request that the Street Dept contact the owner of 810 W. 7th and order the encroachments be removed. With the assistance of a surveyor, I have located the NW and SW corner pins delineating the right of way and pounded new T posts just outside of the right of way in those spots and plan to post the entire property line once the encroachments are removed. Were I to reclaim the property line today, the alley would become impassible due to said encroachments. I request your assistance in remedying this situation in a civil and legal manner, as requests to the homeowner of 810 W.7th have fallen upon deaf ears. I request that you keep me in the loop regarding this issue. I would be happy to meet with a representative of the street dept, with survey in hand, to assist in clarifying and remedying this issue, as renovations of 804 W. 7th will begin in a few weeks. We were asked to follow up on previous report, employees walking across Miller-Showers have low lighting, low visibility near crosswalk. They are opting to drive instead of walk from Walnut. Would like to see improved street lighting in this area, and reflectors on crosswalk paint.

Truck trailers partially blocking the sidewalk again. First, thank you to the Engineering Department for getting the business to move the truck out of the way of sidewalk when the sidewalk was the official pedestrian route around the Duke construction across the street in August 2023. Thank you! The problem reappeared this morning, now with a second trailer. I am sending this uReport to the Engineering Department, since you were able to get a remedy quickest last time. But please forward this uReport to Parking Services if that will get a remedy sooner.

It seems with the hospital construction that the speed limit signs (20MPH) coming onto E Discovery Pkwy from the bypass were never replaced. There is also a "children at play" sign way up on the hill by the childcare's fence, but there is nothing within driver view, near the road, that indicates this area should be slower and that children may be present. Could you please consider adding these signs for the safety of the children? People have been FLYING through there at 40+ MPH. Thank you.

Ridgefield IV neighborhood Bob Shaw is the developer. Bob tore out sidewalks august 2022 without city’s permission. Almost 2 yrs later and still no sidewalks. 3 residents with disabilities(one uses a scooter) along with multiple children in neighborhood. We need accessible sidewalks and for the city to go after Bob Shaw!

I cannot park in the alley because my neighbor, David Arthur, told me I'm not allowed to park next to my house in the lot. I have a disability and a handicapped parking pass. I am deaf, and I need access to parking at home. David's black truck is out of order and parked in the backyard. He has four vehicles, and I cannot park next to him. I was told the city owns the alley. I need to know what I need to do to be able to park in the alley.

Around 9:45am this morning, I walked out of the parking garage at 7th and Morton, out through the lower level of the garage onto 7th Street. As I was walking out onto the sidewalk, a minivan was driving east in the bike lanes! The driver and passenger seemed lost and realized they were in the wrong place. They stopped then crossed over a break in the weird curbing there to get back into a lane of traffic. They had driven from at least Morton halfway up the block before getting out of the bike lane. This is not the first time of numerous times I have witnessed vehicles driving in or parking in the 7th Street bike lane. Is there any way to add signs or markings that make this more obvious? Also, while we are here - on Monday I was downtown driving on Morton headed north and came to a stop at 7th Street. People are really confused by this intersection. A car from the west came to a complete stop. A car from the north on Morton decided to cross 7th in front of the stopped car from the west on Morton. A car coming down the hill from the east on 7th was not intending to stop, but had to due to this car in the intersection from the north on Morton that failed to yield to 7th Street traffic. Although, the randomly stopped car to the west on 7th acting like it was a four-way stop sign certainly made matters go awry. Essentially, the entire 7th Street bike lane system is a mess of poorly designed infrastructure. A friend was telling me about how the bike lane gets blocked at 7th and Woodlawn because of the college students getting on and off buses and the bus riders have to cross the bike lanes and often do not pay any attention. A perfectly good street has multiplied the potential for accidents and injuries with this "upgrade" that got installed.
